My dad always says well you can do yard work, you can clean your room, you can do school work, you could go for a walk you could read, and I'd reply but none of those options are anything I want to do right now.

lol...mine used to say, if you can't find something to do, I'll find something for you....i always managed to find something at that point.

No, he don't like them because people in the chat will not engage him in whank off topics and show an interest in "what a sissy he is"

It takes work to get to know others in a chat room and it takes work to keep it going. There are pauses in real time friendships, why wouldnt there be in a chatroom.

Chatrooms are as interesting as the people chatting make them. Same as in a r/t social setting. Listen well to what others have to say, comment appropriately adding to the quality of the conversation overall and be realistic in your expectations. Last but not least, it's probably a good idea to remind oneself that it is "not all about me". Oh, that's not the last but not least thought... very last thought is that sometimes chatrooms are boring. :))

Have to agree with the Rumpunlike One. I have been in rooms and watched you troll. Perhaps review what some of the others have shared on this thread; that for the most part the rooms on CM are for people/like minded and friends to chat, the definitive word being chat; not umm yanno w***
