There are a number of people. My paternal grandmother, who was a strong woman and the matriarch who held the family together. My older sister, who was a strong source of support and inspiraton for me growing up, more so than my own parents. The elderly lady who lived next door to me when I was growing up who always welcomed me into her home and looked out for me when no one else was around. The Religious Science minister (who has since passed on) under whom I studied for three years. We had plenty of differences of opinion while I served on the board of his church, but he touched my life and what I learned from him will stay with me forever. John F. Kennedy, who happened to die on my birthday. Some others are Gloria Steinem, Ann Richards, Jose Silva (founder of the Silva Method), Deepak Chopra, Wayne Dyer, Paramhansa Yogananda, Terri Cole-Whitaker, and Catherine Ponder. I was also inspired by several great teachers I had who had a true passion for the subjects they taught and a gift for teaching. This would include my high school Latin and English teachers, as well as my college Art History professor and a few of the business professors. Lady Topaz
