i understand what you are saying here FemmeOwner and agree depression can be an extremely difficult battle but i would prefer to see the term debilitating used rather then disability. To me disability seems to suggest permenant and that's like saying you're giving up.
i have suffered bouts of depression myself and have been on meds so i understand and can empathize with anyone going through this but i will say that much of how we feel is how we think. Words and thoughts are very important in forming how we feel about ourselves and can be very effective in our recovery.
