*tosses a couple more names for digestion* Anthrax and Sepultura? And Chris Cornell has officially quit Audioslave to work solo, while the other 3 band members will rejoin with Zack whatshisname to at least do a couple of shows as Rage Against the Machine.

How Will I Laugh Tomorrow... had some definite metal influences. i still crank some Husker Du from time to time (you know they were metal, 'cuz they had umlauts!)... i actually wrote a CRM/sales reporting database for our company's internal use, and named it "Datacontrol"... still waiting for someone to catch onto that [:D] ...dave

I get that, over here in the UK is all garage music, you dont get people bellowing out david souls 'dont give up on us baby' do you lol, Metal can be very energising music, before i go out on a violent rampage i like to listen to various playlists of death thrash metal, combined with approx 4 litres of Coca Cola and a line of lemon sherbert i can cause quite a bit of mayhem, last month i estmated about £25000.00 of damage and sent 6 people to hospital, also it helps me concentrate in the Gym (gymnasium) i lift more iron when i am having anrgy fantasies due to the music you know...Metal IS the new energy aid.

Krissi great question you asked. You had a good list to choose from, no cheezy hair metal bands in it. Of course it would be hard to pick them all. My big three are Sabbath, Maiden and Priest. I love Metal Church and Motorhead also. Somehow Guns-N-Roses is considered pop that is where you will find them in the music stores. They always seemed metal to me. I saw most of the bands on your list at the Philly Spectrum in the 80s. Music is opinion, so one persons best is not another ones best. When Light Aluminum broke out big [ Bon Jovi and Def Leopard ] it started the hair metal movement and that was all the masses wanted to hear. You could turn peoples stomachs fast at a party by throwing on Metalica Ride the Lightning or Master of puppets.

there are times i wish i had a device that created an EM pulse so that i could use it on vehicles that "disturb the peace" with their loud music...completely disabling those vehicles and sending their electrical system into an overload. maybe, after paying the high cost of replacing their electrical system. they'd get the hint: "Not everyone wants to hear your music...keep it down and to yourselves"
