Blue hill- my grandmother and her girlfriend- were asked to help catch a bad thug who killed a cop. so- she agreed to be a date to this guy. the ladies wondered about using the restroom, when out of line of fire the police moved in and caught the fugitive.  gram had to walk home.....

on that side of family- is where I have kin that fought on both sides of the civil war. my kin made moonshine- had a few ministers and at least 1 hard core con man in it. One of my uncles was involved in a trial of the century in the very same courtroom I was in. he trial ended better then mine. i wish i had worte all this down.

then there is the tainted money per the con man- he passed and a helluva fight over the money started. factions of the family wont talk to this day over it.

then there was gram very ill- years back- she was in bed. got up to vomit. with in inches of her head a bullet strayed into the headboard of the bed.

gram is very angry at my mom for leaving PA.

for a start she changed her will- im not sure if there is such a thing as curses- but....if there is- im thinking she may curse my mom.

in the back woods people play with oigiboards and voodoo and stuff like that- my knowledge is limited in all that sorta thing.
i do know that the kind woman of a gram i once knew is now --------changed.

I went back to the one moving sale. the guy had a heavy duty metal shelf- HUGE. the plan is to have almost one junk room.

im surprised i got it assembled.

i want to talk to my brother to see where we are at. i dont want to put my cash in the wrong places.

getting organized is a very good goal. so teh shelving is great.

over the next few months- ill have to decide how much cash to put into the place- and on what improvements.

i did mention to my brother i do have beds- [hint- so when he and his assistent come out]

i am sorta mad at the one thrift store. dumb policy. argh.

central air?  zoned heating?   2 half baths? a roof top deck?  all new windows?

definately insolation- i think i like the new foil type.

i wish i could get a massive boulder for the yard.

if one works up via the cost per square foot- it would be neat to go up a story, so as to get an even better view of teh river.  in otehr wards- have the roof top deck- and a widows peak- that would be almost a 4th story and sorta a casibo up high,

i still am thinking a 3 story water fall all lit up in the front....

A buddy stopped by. He was amazed that i got rid of alot of junk. it is up in the pink purple room. he thinks things are coming along nicely here.

Despite a friend suggesting I simply go to mall for furniture. nooo. i am a tightwad. the fact is ppl donate perfectly good furniture to thrift stores. i dont know about other countries- but in the US there is plenty of stuff junk- tons and tons of it.  be that as it may for under $200 i got "some" furniture. and i dont mean junk. i mean tastefull furniture that has a good 3-5 years or more use to it.

this buddy is used to a big paycheck- and while he tries for the best price- it is nothing but the best for him- so i take this as a compliment.

so now- i need to keep the pace. of organizing- and such.

my brother wanted to paint over the aluminum siding. a color. im thinking burnt ornage with copper trim-

the river and the sun are my HUGE plusses on this property. I have a southern exposure and corner lot.

hopefully my brother will fit me in b4 winter to make the place nicer.

Oh- Jim noticed I painted my sidewalk.  They make a paint just for sidewalks!!!  It looks nice.

BTW- my car has taken wear and tear on this move...... ouch.

there is nothing like the sunset- over the Susquehanna river.
all seen per my 2nd floor windows.

also since i dont have cable-satilite or dsl- i refound National Public Radio.  :-)

tempting to buy anothern.

i dont want to go into credit card debt on anything---- unwise.

my brother got an attitude cos i planted 2 more trees.  when i think of all the nice trees he has cut down.   ummm- last i knew- i am making the house payment- not him. i planted a larger blue spruce and a norfolk pine. i trimmed some ugly bushes.

i knew someone that like conifers- well she got 8 or 10 fake ones and stuck them in her yard. lol.

fuurniture comes this morning- and i hope to god they send 2 men. im not ready for it to show up.  trees can be TRIMMED. besides ideally il dlike to go to a natural habitat fot the yard here- and am trying to figure out how to do so with out it being against code.

Palos park-IL- you actually need a permit to cut a tree down!!!

I did call the heating guy about options- he migt come next week. im scared as to my heat bill- i think that is how folks lost this to foreclosure.

someone please tell me trees are nice!~ i just go wild at nursury and home improvement centers!

That's weird.  But I can top it.  There is a lot for sale in my neighborhood, has been for sale for many years.  Recently the owner, in an attempt to pretty it up, planted some FAKE FLOWERS!  As in dug up the ground, "planted" the flowers, then spread some bark over the ground.  WTF?

except for the hanging tinsel- it looked cool- there was too much shade to get much of anything to gorw there.

i like conifers as they are green year round. im not quite sure where my sewer line is....

my lots is a decent size for intown.

i have a southern exposure.

yesderday i went out browsing home improvement stuff.

i probaly have $350 into landscape right now.

i am told tthe trees are too close together. well- how then do they grow in a forest???

trees will offer a sound buffer for traffic- a degree of priavcy if i am barely dressed on 1st floor.  it will filter out highway soot. which dirties the siding quick.  three do the lungs good.

i wish i could be sharing pictures with you guys.

i need to reach out to my neighbors and community- and get to know how to make things happen.

also- im thinking a 3 year lease on leasing the driveway right away. i heissitate cos if i ever convert this into 2 units- i need so many off street parking spaces.

i thought ild have my brothers attention in July- wall he is off the Argentina then.

Jim was right.  He now has mom, controls her money and in effect my inheritence if any.  I doubt the put her condo in trust as they told me it would be.
im not after her money. but dont tell me the sky is red when it is blue!!!

what a day. the furniture from teh thrift store never came today. maybe tommorrow.  i did get a midsized refridergerator- scratch and dent. wow. it only uses $39 a year in electric. I also picked up a hot plate at a thrift store.

im not sure why this nothers people- but I got around 12 more trees. blue spruce- pine, norfolk, white,  i planted them- i must have a good 25 conifers.  i am told they are too close- well trees do ok in the forest.... i am told i planted too many. argh. well i pay the house payment. origiianlly i wanted acreage- but had to settle to live in town. the trees vary up to 4 feet tall.

i have a decent size corner city lot- with a southern exposure.  i dont see anything wrong with a woodsy yard- as aposed to a subdivision.

one day some one will joyfully cut it all down. as thats waht folks do. for wahtever reason- trees exist so as to be cut down-

hm-between 20-30 of them. i like it- i own- and i choose such as my landscape.  as they grow- the lot will be more private- the trees shield the noise and dust from the main road.

in some townns a fuill sized oak tree will add $1000.00 to the price of a house.

anyhow- this is for me.  :-)

LMAO- it was a sport to calll code on the prior owners here. well the other day i as a courtesy went to bthe back neighbor- the one we had words with b4 but resolved. i wanted to just run it by them as to where i wante to plant a tree as it was near the line. she said it was fine.   she asked if i intended to let all the trees grow wild i said no some will be trimmed and some will  get big. she noticed to red brick outline border and said it looked nice.

well today i see a pile of landscape brick on their lot!!!  looks like i get to be the joneses- as in keep up with the joneses. LMAO!

little by little the ward is realizing its potential.

even the owners from california got big eyed when i mentioned the 3 story water fall lit up i have planned!!! :-)

i spend alot of time watering. you know those trees will get big.... and she aint sure if i am "allowed" to plant so many.  i can just imagine the secret window peaaking as a I water!!

i used the hose to wash down the house.

"allowed"    gag me.

If the dog runs wild- then the leash law kicks in. She has been spooked by thunder and firecrackers. I finaly got the idea how the dog sitter can let her out w/o me getting completely organized. As it is a slow go. It is very humid which makes the feces and piss stink even more.

I    been trying to wash down the house- grit is in the texture of the siding. 3 times the bitch got loose. This last time- she broke thru a patched cat door trap and went upstairs. This time of year- she is shedding galore.

Anyhow I spent  many hours cleaning up the laundry porch- putting that stuff in the cellar.

oh well

Good morning all!!

I spoke to my brother Ed, he said when he is done here- it will look like a million dollar home. That might be puhing it.--but he is very good at redoing homes-  if I have patience I will come out ahead. Even tho he is the straight one- he has an eye for design and color....and he is around the lastest.  A few of his clients fly him down to FL to do their condos....

Any friction I had here I attribute to a certain- well- a handfull of people wanted this place. I scored. They did not.  So this was part of the code guy coming...etc..

Anyhow- the satilite guy said he liked my trees. I am watering like crazy. They need a good start b4 water restrictions kick in. We get thunderstorms but enuff to make it humid.
The parrot said "hello about 15 times last night.  LOL

Well- tonight I got a lecture from my brother about my house. I am really angry. What the point is- I dont know. He wondered why I havent put in windows  or insulation. Well- this was why he was set to visit- or so I thought. He is displeased that I planted 42 trees, a rock garden, and 10 more plants.

Im discusted.  A passerby just today said the yard looked nice.

These projects- he had told me- he had in his possession 2 windows for me. So why would I be installing them???

On top of this he owes me 5000.00.

How dare I go at my own pace on my own property!!

How dare I disregard- the subdivision suburbia life.

How dare I plant 42 trees!

All this talk on painting it- a roof deck- etc- was just talk.

It appears Jim was right. He said they got what they wanted. [mom] - and they will never return to Pennsylvania.

umm- I paid the down payment. I pay the mortgage.

Im pissed off.

What an asshole.
