I really look like ... what's that character called from The Adams Family? The hand that came out of the box? I only saw that show a couple of times on re-run... was it simply called "The Thing" or was it "Cousin It" -- that's what I really look like, a hand coming out of a box, this was the closest I could find... The Office Depot hand isn't availabale yet

To the OP - they are called avatars for a reason. An avatar is a symbol to represent you. No where does it say it has to be a proper photographical picture. Those are generally called 'pics'. Also, this is the 'net. Why would you expect people to post actual pictures of themselves on a free and open forum? Also, don't you look at a persons profile before messaging them? You'd either see a pic or nothing at all, since only actual personal photographs are allowed on profiles.

Ok? Ok.

Why is it that many people pick avatars that look totally different then they do?
I often see these beautiful pictures on avatars than look at the picture, and the person
looks totally different.
Is it their altar ego here?  This is what I would look like in my dreams?
If you are old and overweight, why pick an avatar of a young sex goddess?
I picked lovely female feet, because I love to look at them..yummy.  :)

In fact my avatar does a good symbolization of me. There are all kinds of themes in there that accurately describe me. I also have another avatar created for me specifically by Wulfchyld. I would love to show that avatar.

Creepy thing is, mine looks an awful lot like my profile pic.. which is why I chose this avatar.

You are gorgeous.

They make old, ugly and/or fat avatars?

Huh.  That's a thought.  I suppose that we could submit some for consideration.

I am not a genius. I simply do not know. I do recall that you said to have chosen this avatar because you like to look at feet. You never suggested that your feet look like that. Nor do I consider the actual likeness of an avatar to a person or part of a person pertinent to a forum participation.

To me it is sufficient that someone for some reason chose a specific avatar, even if it was motivated by a random whim.

However, most people do choose and identify with their avatar for specific reasons.

You show women's feet as your avatar but your profile says you're male. Yet you think that is no deception. Okay.

Remember when you were very young, how anybody of your now age was old and over the hill. Well it hasn't changed. Old is anybody 15 years older than you are.

BTW, just because I'm older than you and overweight doesn't mean I'm not a sex goddess. I think I am and that's the way he likes me. It all depends on who your worshippers are.

I am a female DOMINANT.  This particular avatar signifies my idea of what submission is.  I was moved by the simpleness of the picture.

I picked my avatar because Aeon Flux looks like my alter-ego, Betty.  Besides, I admire Aeon Flux, she's a bad-ass silent-but-deadly bitch in a catsuit.
