It doesnt matter what they are selling:
--if it involves a house, a car or a TV I dont own one

--otherwise, I just did it, I just bought it, or Im filing bankruptsy ....

Use whichever is most applicable or how annoyed I am that they interrupted whatever I am doing.

I don't answer the home phone for any reason, so that rather avoids the issue.  I only get one real message per 200 or so hang-ups so why bother?

But I did hear that cell phones are going to be available for phone-spamming within a few weeks.

Of course, if I get a call I don't recognize on my cell phone I don't answer that either.  I just hope they don't leave messages.

I usually hang up, but if they manage to start talking and appear to be selling something for the home, like windows, I just say "I rent".  They say bye real quick.

"hello, you've reached Geeky's phone sex hotline."

"may I speak to Geeky Girl."

"Yes you may, for 3.99 aminute for the first minute and 1.99 for each additional minute. Or press 1 to speak to a busty blonde. Press 2 to speak to a lusty latino..."

I also like this one: "Gay and Lesbian Support Group of Parker County. We're here and we're queer! Would you like to pledge your support today?"

or "You've reached the Parker County Alien Abduction Research Center...have you experienced an anal probe by an extraterristrial organism?"

Hehe...I like that one too!

My favorite wasn't technically a telemarketer, but a call from the christian coalition to discuss the issue of  porn. She says, "Ma'am I'd like to take a moment of your time to discuss the important issue of pornography." I said, "Porno? That's great. I LOVE porn. What kind of porn do YOU like? I like anal, gangbang, threesome, bondage, animated porn...what about you? You do go for anal or are you more of a lesbian strap-on action kind of girl?"  Looong silence. *click* They never called back.

Next time I get a call on my phone that says unknown name/number, I'm using this one GeekyGirl:
"Gay and Lesbian Support Group of Suffolk County. We're here and we're queer! Would you like to pledge your support today?"

Thank you.. should be fun

(changed the county for myself... hehehe)

My gay best friend just answers his phone "House of Pain, what's your pleasure?"

He doesn't even check the caller ID first though

I enjoy telemarketers, I often pretend I am hard of hearing and yell into the phone,
and then hang up.
I wish they would call more often.

I dislike Telemarketers...I say a big NAY...now I understand its just a job, but they don't need to be so insistent....so I play with them, put voices for them and just tell them to f*ck off, that I don't want a credit card because Im a crazy "bawstid" who hides his money under the mattress....

With a name like "BiteGirl" I don't think I need to ask!

It IS their job to be persistant, they'd never get any sales if they said ok sorry bye. I worked telemarketing for a week, it wasn't long or prestegious but the number one thing they drummed into us was persistance, if you can hang in there for the intiial speal it's more likely someone is going to buy from you.

I would be in huge trouble if you said no and I said with out a fight sorry have a nice night.
