Not to mention, cuffs collars and skimpy clothes are NOT the best to get good labor done in. If you're making these people work and "slave" then it might be best to just put them in jeans and tshirts. It focuses them on what they are doing and why they are doing it, rather than the kink of it and it's just easier to get the work done when you don't have to worry about exposed bits or sweat dripping or cuffs in the way.

again, why pay to clean somone else`s house? i mean i have trubbel enogh cleaning my own, and whit no kink in it at all, it is just cleaning house, and if you want to learn that, take a housekeeper class, it is cheaper and probably is more informative.

Cleaning your own house, or doing labor in T-shirts and jeans is not the same. Sure I can scrub my own floors and dust cowebs out of high corners in my day to day clothing for free, but doing it does not give me the same feeling as when I am adorned in clothing that has been chosen for me, doing the tasks that have been set forth for me in the manor someone else expects them to be done. The feeling of accomplishment and honor is not nearly the same.
So sure we can go out pay less money and take a class on cooking or what have you, but are the feelings going to be the same then if your Master said to prepare him a 5 course meal in bare feet and a slip of a grament? I'd rather do that then listen to an instructor tell me how to make a flan while wearing everyday street clothes.
The point of a training house would be taking that everyday activity that you can learn at some center or community class, and learning it in the way of the lifestyle, to actually feel the power exchange, and in the end go back having a better knowledge of who you are.

Just my opinion.

For me the point is to put the focus where it belongs- this is NOT about making the sub FEEL anything, it's getting the job done well. It's NOT about letting the sub get their fuzzies from attention and control, it's making sure they do a good job at X activity- such as cooking.

So, having the sub wake up, with a list of chores on the door, the "master" gone all day, the slave to do everything, the master to eat and judge SOLELY on the work performed, the sub SOLELY focused on getting the work done, then see how it goes.

Who cares if the sub looks frilly? By using work clothes, you put them in the mindset that this is about WORK, not cute attention or sex.

Why would someone pay money to have this pleasure? That I don't know. But we're talking working and training here, not play and sex and fun.

The problem is that there are two dicussions here, one is the money issue, the other is training.

1 there are not many submissives that are so service minded, many are service minded, but not to that degree.
2, the price is extremly high.

Would pepole pay for this? i do not know, but i know i would not.

Have you ever been in a live-in master/owner/trainer and slave situation? Or any live-in 24/7 d/s, for that matter?

While having them clean/train/serve in the french maid's outfit is fun at first, it palls - it just quits being fun. Besides - in the long term, it distracts from what I consider the "main course" - the submission (or training, in this case) itself.

Anyone can feel subbish in the proper subby uniform. It's when you're feeling totally submissive in a torn, dirty pair of jeans and an old sweatshirt, because They just told you to fetch the framing hammer, that you know it's really working. That's how it is for service subs, anywho.

Taggard - nifty idea, but as domtimothy pointed out - there's not that many intent service-oriented subs out there, and they can usually find a trainer/owner without that kind of price tag.

I toyed with this idea myself, but with a more long-term focus - 6 mos to a year is what it'd take me to do what I consider good training. It may make a nifty full-time job, but it'd be full-time, and you'd have to figure on supporting it for at least 36 months before you saw any black ink, if I remember my depressing arithmetic correctly.

You might also try researching "The Butchmens Experience" Master Steve Sampson's acadamy in AZ.

Good luck with it I'm not sure you're ready to make it happen anytime soon though.

I realize I am entering this thread way late but if anybody's still paying attention have some contributions. Many retreat destinations offer focus options throughout the year. I'd suggest advertising specific style/fetish focuses by the week and maybe special needs focuses for older couples and for newbies to taste the wares so to speak. Also in marketing, the thing to do is work on your reputation, notariety in the community. Some specialize and become notable, others use flashy showmanship, but you have to network or few will know you exist. Even for those who hear about your service, they will need to know they aren't walking into a den of thieves before they bother with honoring you with their attention.
