Keep in mind that many people can not afford a single piece made from exhibition grade wood. I have one, a cocobolo rosewood paddle that is just a joy to behold. Because of the difficulties in finishing it, the sub who made it for me waxed it rather than lacquer or other finish. The ebony hairbrush paddle he made for me has a black matte lacquer finish. The other two paddles he made for me are made of MDF.. yes, I said MDF, painted, fiberglassed, glittered and resined. I've had over a dozen women (and one man) ask me where they could get the glitter paddles, but the sub in question only makes for those who play with him. I owned him for two years and he still gives me cool stuff. Other cool stuff he's made me that people ask where to get all the time are the glitter canes that match the paddles. They aren't so interested in the glitter aspect, but in the fact that the canes have a metal core.  They are both bamboo (each over four feet long,) drilled out and with an inserted metal dowel core. One of them is as big around as my pinkie finger, the other is as large around as my thumb. The larger size is almost unusable, as it is hard to aim. Yes, they are serious canes. I'd not hand one to a newbie. But people you find in a dungeon who would purchase such a cane are rarely newbies. My ex sub is fine with people copying his work. He just likes being able to say.. hey, I was the first to do that.

Minor suggestions:
 
Put wheels on your portable toychest/playtable. While some people may have light toys, my floggers alone weigh in at about 30 lbs. Most people I know who are serious about transporting toys and setting up a play space have a large number of toys.
 
I use a hanging system that attaches to the bit of furniture I'm playing on for my floggers. Perhaps making a commercial version of a portable flogger hanger would be an option for your table.
 
Floggers, crops and canes are the things that are usually the culprits when you can't fit something in a toybag. While I'd not purchase an entire system, I might pick up a box designed to hold, protect and transport my babies safely.
 
While you'd not want to make the toy table a bondage item, you may want to include an attachment point or two to it. I've always enjoyed being able to use a lead line with a trigger snap at both ends to attach the sub (like an animal) to the play area. It helps encourage the feel of objectification.
 
Maybe offer personalization. Either wood burned, carved or a small engraved tag, being able to offer the Dominant's name is a nice touch.

Whoops, I just reread your posts and realized you mention something about a crop and cane cylinder. (You could be cutsie and call it the crop circle. *grins*) While it would be nice to have a uncrushable tube for the canes, protecting the floggers from crushing and wrinkling is more my idea. I should have been clearer about it.

i can tell you that crosses are popular, but murderous to ship. If you can build one that's collapsable, but has the strength to actually restrain a 250-lb man when built, my hat would be off to you.

i would like to see some nice heavy stocks... too much flimsy stuff out there. Give me some nice 4" red oak... yum.

Any chance of an old-fashioned wooden "pear", or are you strictly cabinetry? Suspect it would be too labor-intensive to really sell unless you farmed production out to an Indonesian sweatshop, tho...

But random drivel aside... Wood- framed ottoman with a padded leather top. Top is removable. With top removed, front and back can be slid out and reversed to provide either attached straps, or tie points to hold the bottom bent over the ottoman.   Inside, a set of box stocks (wrists and ankles close together). Perhaps a removable tray for toys between the top and the stocks. Underside of top is laquered and has additional tie points. Versatile and deniable, i think, is what will get you the greatest customer base.

This just made me think of some of the design shows I've seen. They often put a narrow table behind a couch. Make that table 6 inches wider and add bars.. you have a cage. A vertical cage could be made of a hall bench that is easy to stand on end. You may want to watch one of the design shows on HGTV (Divine Design is my favorite) and get ideas from what you see there.

Free standing Bondage closet.. I'd see this one as looking a lot like a wardrobe, only sitting on the floor rather than legs. It could either open only from the front (shallow closet) Or open from the front and be hinged on the sides so they fold back also. It could have a bar for clothes most of the time, (of course the bar is anchored well enough to support a sub when attached to it) and attachment points on the back wall of the space (and side if you don't make the doors fold all the way away.)

Queening chair. This could be made from a short chair with a removable "seat." Under the removable seat would be the seat with the hole. You might need to be able to attach a head sling below it if the chair isn't almost sitting on the ground.

My spanking bench is passed off as furniture to stretch and exercise my bad back. Orthopedic furniture is another place to get ideas for kink stuff that fits into a standard home.

For a queening chair, I am working on modifying a Morris style chair so that it can also serve as a CBT and cunt torture spreader chair.  The open bottom is easy structurally, but leaving the front open for CBT weakens it significantly but I think I have that solved.

Since labor and shipping are two of the biggest costs for all of this I have a couple of ideas for that as well.  I am going to sell plans and kits allowing someone with minimal tools to work with stuff from HomeDepot to create their own. 

As an example, take the Armoire, they are fairly cheap at antique stores and so I what I will make is a tool rack with a false front that can be set into the back of one.  Perhaps not even stain or finish it because even a bad job of that will allow it to disappear in one if there are some clothes inside it.

Going with solid sides and gussets in the rear corners? i would think that as long as you can good a good enough chunk of timber to use as the seat it would be done... if only i'd managed to save my grandmother's old kitchen chairs with the 2-1/2" thick hardwood seats They don't build 'em like that anymore.

Guess i need to do more shopping... i've been looking for one for a while to use as a kitchen pantry, but haven't found anything worth owning for under $500 i definitely wouldn't bother staining it unless you're building them to order... i would think that just accomodating a range of sizes (primarily, designing each configuration with wood usage in mind) would be enough of a hassle.

Dang, now you've got me thinking of all kinds of cloak-and-dagger shit... could do a bedroom end table with half-depth drawers that splits in half to reveal secret toy storage, build a punishment cage behind a false A/C intake... hehe. Of course,  i was seriously thinking about disguising the entrance to our playroom with a false closet, even though we have no unmentionables and almost no guests i just love brainstorming kink stuff and making things more complicated than they need to be.

I could see that working quite well, since I have no coffee table in the LR currently. 
OH here is an idea for you....  convertable Pool table...construct a top to lay over the table and shackles of sorts on the legs, could even do a cage under that in some fashion...  this way, the play room is more versatile with stuff for the vanilla guests too.

One of the antecedents of the style of furniture I will be using is Spanish Revival.  Most of it is too ornate to do and keep the cost below insane but I do love it.  There are a number of Spanish items there, one of which we now call a "horse".
