SusanofO -> RE: What is you real Opinion of these "Sites" (2/27/2007 10:13:43 PM)

Zensee: Well, yeah, there's that. I do realize that, too. If you're interested in how long I can actually go on about it, see my post on the "Angry by Default" thread. People are going to say what they think, if an OP has "opened the door." But - they also said they "didn't want to be misunderstood" - which leads me to believe they really were looking for reasons this can happen. Possibly just pissing and moaning, but maybe not. I wrote practically a tome about it on that other thread(and your reason, Zensee, was one observation I had in there. If someone is going to lead with a judgmental comment, then "If one can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen", etc. - I agree. I don't think it necessarily is the reader's job to "decode" a poster. On the other hand, what does 99 times out of 100 lead to, if one comments negatively? More of the same. My opinion, there's a 50-50 chance some one will think about if what they said could possibly have been mis-interpreted due to poor wording, etc. Maybe worth a shot. Unless one wants to listen to them rant for the same reasons on other threads, other posts, etc. People don't change over-night, and some never do. If I don't like it I can turn off my PC. But some do, sometimes, especially if they are seeking genuine feed-back. I hope they read it, the "Anger by Default" thread. Because it's just too damn long for me to re-write my post (or anyone's from there) here. But it's about this exact same topic, in many ways. juliaoceania: Good point. I almost said it on a different thread, yesterday. Iam not sure what this ever leads to. I have seen some people who were genuinely surprised by comments they received out of the starting gate, and others just want to bitch. Who knows? I can't see their face, I don't know where this is all a-goin. Everyone: I gotta go to bed. Believe it or not, I have Jury Duty tommorrow (no lie). Ha! (I really honestly do. Isn't that weird?) - Susan
