Without reading thru to the end, after having worked in the insurance business and having a good friend that is a claims adjuster........Never ever EVER sign off on a claim!!! If you do, they give you a substancial cash settlement.....oh say $20,000.00 and then a year later you develope some back or neck problem that your doctor says is from the accident that requires surgery, or several. Not only will your health insurance potentially say, "nope not covered, pre-existing!" Your $20,000.00 will have seemed like nothing compared to your medical costs. Now some of this varies state by state (insurance laws) but alot of is pretty consistant with insurance companies. Fine print is the key. Just know, insurance companies are in the business to make money. Twenty grand is peanuts to them compared to years of serious medical expenses. That is why they offer cash settlements so quickly.
