Yesderday- I headed out for a latte, very close to house. I had the free coupon.

/out of nowhere- smashh. the dude was mad at me.  police/ambulance/extracation/ER

here I am no car. I dont know PA traffic law- tho it is a "no fault state."

It certainly did not help my existing injury.

Does anyone know PA law?

My insurance is Liberty Mutual.
I did not have collission.

Truckdrivers  are rather unprofessional these days. This cant happen now! But it did. I am looking for the local paper. Scanner listening is big here.

I did not have collision.

Please reply- per advice.  I made a few calls to see if I can get folks to offer rides. we have no bus here.  The cab company hours are 9-5????

When is it a convenient time to have a car acccident? lol.

As a rule I dislike insurance companies.

In any event- anyones experience/knoldge- the good the bad the ugly. on board or off.
Thanks all!

Back in 1993, I was approached by my insurance agent and I'd asked him (Insurance agent, I said) "why is my insurance so high?" and he said "Well (Griswold), according to your insurance record...you've had many minor incursions...all along the lines of failure to turn your turn signal on to turn left or right, failure to stop, etc...." to which I said..."But...I've never caused an accident, never come close to causing an accident..." and he said...."but.....

...you're always near one...and for the little guy who's in a windowless office in DesMoines Iowa somewhere....trying to determine from your records, whether or not you're likely to be in one....he's thinking you're one beer away from a bad one..."

So I finally figured out....

I'm the guy that causes my accidents.

No one else.

Haven't had one since that conversation.

I feel for you - I had a run in with a semi a couple of weeks ago; he decided he wanted in my lane even though I was already there.

I'm just happy to be alive; but it has changed me.

a few times i had truckers "box me in"- that is scarey as hell.

i too am thankfull to be alive. the odds arent that good when a 4 wheel meets an 18 wheeler. many truckers ARE professional.  [tho] a good many face unrealistic expectations of the home office.......

per the law of physics, the semi wins.  it is that simple.

IMO- the US made a huge mistake by deleting so much of the trainlines......
but who am i to judge.....

Without reading thru to the end, after having worked in the insurance business and having a good friend that is a claims adjuster........Never ever EVER sign off on a claim!!! If you do, they give you a substancial cash settlement.....oh say $20,000.00 and then a year later you develope some back or neck problem that your doctor says is from the accident that requires surgery, or several. Not only will your health insurance potentially say, "nope not covered, pre-existing!" Your $20,000.00 will have seemed like nothing compared to your medical costs.

Now some of this varies state by state (insurance laws) but alot of is pretty consistant with insurance companies. Fine print is the key. Just know, insurance companies are in the business to make money. Twenty grand is peanuts to them compared to years of serious medical expenses. That is why they offer cash settlements so quickly.
