Blue, your post sounds just like the usual "my way is better than your way" shite that we see far too often, in far too many systems. From your other posts, I would have considered you a reasonably knowledgeable and sensible guy. Accept that that's enough, and get over the rest.

Wicca as I know it would qualify as a religion or a belief system. That is the choice of Wiccans. What I view as witchcraft or paganism would not, hence My previous 'earth based spirituality' classification. Ideas, concepts, experiences, knowledge... roughly similar enough to be grouped under a general heading but certainly not a belief system.

No actually it doesn't. Wicca was brought into the light by Gerald Gardner in the 1960's. Witchcraft itself does predate Christianity. However witchcraft, as it once was, is not practiced anymore. If someone tells you they can trace their ancestory back to the burning times they're lying. Wicca is what you see now. Witchcraft is what you saw then...

I'm gonna be some gun shy of that....

When is the first recorded or organized time that an asshole was used to stick something in? Do you think before the days of jelly dongs it never happened?

The deliniation of times and seasons is wasted.

There is this game afoot now to say that so and so happened when and when.

There is also this puerile organizaion attempt to put less than major religions in todays world under the umbrella of Asatru------
