Most everyone on here gets nasty hate mail and IM's at one
time or another.  Do not take it personally.  That kind of
behavior is a reflection on them, not you.

My view is somewhere between what LA said, and what MasterFireMaam said.

Having told him politely to behave, his response was uncalled for, and personally, I admire your restraint.

I love it when someone insults me. That means I don't have to be nice anymore.

My term for Doms like that is "chest-beater".....comes stomping into the room like King Kong!  You weren't wrong for being offended, and you were definitely a lot politer than I have been in the past when responding to idjits like that.  Again, being submissive doesn't mean that any Dom has the right to be rude to you.  Respect works both ways, and he isn't worthy of yours!

I recently received a message from a dom who wished to speak with me. Of course I get 50 of these a day lol (exaggeration), but I seen no reason not to. The second sentence of out his mouth began putting me down with derogatory terms and names that I do not feel like repeating...I politely told him "No disrespect but I do not like anybody except the man I submit to saying such derogatory things to me or name calling. Again i mean no disrespect" to which he rplied by telling me to go fuck myself.............so i called him an asshole and stopped talking to him. Looking back I do nto think I was wrong in taking offense....just because someone is dom does not mean they can run around calling anyone and everyone a cunt etc. etc...so I ask...do you think my reaction was wrong? I stand by what I said to him but I am curious if anyone agrees/disagree's. Thank you for taking the time to read this entire thing lol.

Let’s look at it objectively. If face slapping wasn't your bag and he walked up and started smacking you around what would you have done?

Hate to admit this, but He does have a good point.

I do believe you were in the right to be offended, I surely would of been.

I'm not sure we can measure offensive in terms of "right" and "wrong."

We all have our buttons and we all know people who get offended at the most pointless things ever.  But they aren't pointless to that person.

I get comments like that regularly, even on the public boards- but I don't get offended by it.  Am I wrong to not get offended by something where others WOULD get offended?

I think we should figure out what's the source of the offense and whether I want to choose to continue to be offended by it and/or choose to do something in reaction to it.

Above all, remain in control of one's self.
