Celeste dragged me to a hardware store and tried to show me parts to make an "ugly sister" lol....something about sink pipes and chains and liquid latex...I'm still scratching my head. So is the guy who tried to help us...lol. I made a knotted silk rope flogger. He was really pleased with it - said the handle was weighted perfectly and it lands with a heavier thud than I ever imagined. There's something about making a weapon that will be used on me...we both enjoy that idea. I am now tasked with more, and need to learn my leathers and buy the right tools. (anyone with helpful advice is free to email me!)

And my imagination can come up with a whole lot of different uses for those three items Fat piping especially is very versatile, anything from mandatory limb straightening restraints, plastic ponies, cool sounding canes and a female humbler that an unrestrained subbie can't release herself from. A handy hint is after sawing the ends to length, melt them slightly, to both shape and to achieve a really smooth finish, then spray the ends with silicon lube for a frictionless fit. Damn I sound more like Marth Stewart, every day

I'm notorious for making floggers out of anything at hand when I'm bored. My favorite at work, cus I work in a print shop, is thin trimmings from the poly-plates we use for one of the presses. (Plates aren't metal anymore.) Closest thing I can compare the material to would be the stuff that photograph negatives are made out of. It's kinda stiff but flexible, and the edges can get a tiny bit sharp. With a good wrist snap or enough momentum in an arm swing it can really sting. Of course the scotch tape and paper strip floggers with weighted paperclip tips...defintely rank higher on the lame scale. lol I also once had a guy proudly show me a homemade vibrator...made out of an old plastic spice jar. Not that it didn't work, mind you, but definitely tacky!

" -- I went grocery shopping today and found myself doing that -- it was at a dive grocery store though, they had all kinds of weird cooking utensils, and in one part of the store they had a large section of crates with soda bottles piled (not even stacked) on... There were quite a few interesting shaped objects that might have made for great cheapo wannabe bdsm crafts/projects...
