I wil always say, there is nothing quite as beautiful as hearing a slave saying "Yes Maam" with a southern accent. Or, of course, Yes Mommy with that same wonderful southern hint... ahhh

Yeah, southern.

LadyIce -> RE: Accents (3/3/2007 6:46:44 PM)

I love strong british accents, they are so sexy.

swtrayn -> RE: Accents (3/3/2007 7:04:12 PM)

I used to have a slave from NJ, and i loved her accent, though it was found to be nasaly

Ummm....people from NJ do not have accents.

SilentHunter -> RE: Accents (3/3/2007 7:35:22 PM)

Personally I loved the cricket, and although im not a die hard like my dad, i loved that we lost, not like we win at much.

I jut hated and always have the Home and away and Neighbours, the others like the sullivans i can put up with in short doses. Oh and I hate Corronation street, Eastenders, Emerdale and lots more Brit Soap opera crap lol so its nit just Aussies.

I know that this has probably been done before, but when talking to a Dom/me/sub/slave or other person, what would your fave accent be, i have been told i sound like Paul McCartney, but i don't think so lol. Although I do live close to Liverpool, and have worked there, in the past.

Hope to hear soon.

SH

I think an Irish or Scottish accent would be delightful.

As for myself, I feel like I sound like Martha Stewart when I'm being very specific in an explanation.
(... but it's a good thing :)

With a lot of Scots you can't tell what they're saying. Almost like they're speaking German or something like that.
I was in a Pub in Donegal Ireland one time and there were three Scots at the bar talking and I turned to a local I had been talking to and asked her what the Scots were saying.
She said to me; "Fucked if I know, I could never understand them anyway."
I have a pronounced "Boston" accent. I hate it but some people love it.
I call it "my speech impediment."

It's only an "R".. prounounce it!  LOL

FelinePersuasion -> RE: Accents (3/4/2007 12:55:06 AM)

I tend not to like accents, most make them , the speaker very hard to understand.

In the US it really suprised me just how often people say that they like my accent (mid English/ Welsh Border) but the best one was in a restraunt with some work colleagues when the waitress side "wow that accent.its so hot...." at which point my American friends started laughing and she realised what she had said and that I could have been her dad.......!"

wandersalone -> RE: Accents (3/4/2007 9:48:25 AM)

grins...so I guess you don't want me to mention the Ashes to you Kendra. You'll be right mate! [:D]

edited because I forgot to add my own faves ..... Irish, some English accents and French

SirKenin -> RE: Accents (3/4/2007 10:20:09 AM)

All I know is that I simply can not stand British accents.  Not one bit.  My girlfriend was watching a movie last night that was primarily shot in Britain.  What was most noticeable was how utterly bloody annoying the accent is and how they can talk the fucking hind leg off a yak.  Gah.  They love to hear themselves talk.  Damn.  I was very glad when it was finally over.

I like south-eastern accents, like Georgia and Florida.  Texans irritate the crap out of me.  Ummm.  The German accent makes me laugh.. "Vere iz ze bat?"  "Vhat ve have here...iz..FAILURE to extrapolate".  I do like some of the other European accents, but the countries are escaping me at the moment.

NorthernGent -> RE: Accents (3/4/2007 10:34:20 AM)

Hey Wanders, I'm claiming a draw, we won the one dayers, can't say fairer than that :-)

Texas accents are the best!

Luckily for me I am originally from Connecticut and people from Connecticut do not have accents :)

MzMia -> RE: Accents (3/4/2007 7:18:12 PM)

My potential subbie has the sweetest southern drawl, I love it.
Especially when he pleads and begs {which is often}.
Black woman with a white southern slave boy.[:D]
I also love british accents, also the aussie ones ala russel crowe, matey
