I found books. My parents never censored my reading & they had an extensive library covering all manner of subjects. An abnormal psych book was talking about deviant sexuality and ohboy it made me feel *funny* inside.

I continued to read everything I could get my hands on & had my first D/s relationship when I was 14.

I'm a virgin. I'm dating a virgin. I never thought I would find a virgin guy who knows how to throw a flogger and tie knots and is all make-my-knees-weak dominant. But I did. =)

I tried to live my life thinking of myself as the property of my future owner without necessarily denying myself the right to have fun and meet potential owners. Would my owner want to take my virginity? Well, now that I've met him....I can tell you that's a definite yes and that I am more than happy that I can give that to him. Any doubts I had as to whether I was making my virginity into a bigger deal that it was have disappated within this relationship because it's something he and I both value. In -our- relationship, it is going to be a big deal. I wouldn't call it the ultimate act of ownership though.

Actually, I was mentally into BDSM before I got into it as well. Around the time I was in 4th grade, I recall having some really deep fantasies of things. Which happen to be BDSM activities on the checklists. Some of these were hardcore fantasies... I had a very hard time dealing with these thoughts... because I know they were not appropriate thoughts to be having. Still they were always there bubbling up in my mind...

Would you consider it the ultimate act of ownership to take a slave's virginity? Which would you prefer: a slave who saves him/herself for the would-be owner or one who is experienced enough that the experience is a benefit? Or do you figure you'd rather start fresh rather than un-training someone else's style out of him/her?

Personally, I prefer women with experience who know what they want, so the idea of a virgin is not great for me. Beyond trying to make it as postitive as possible, the act of taking someone's virginity is not a huge deal for me, at least in terms of it having a larger meaning, like an ultimate act of ownership. I'd always prefer a partner with experience over someone with none.

Well, I wasn't expecting to see so many replies!

I sort of feel sheepish now because even before I started this thread I knew full-well there were plenty of Vs in the lifestyle. 3 years ago when I entered it I was one as well. Many sub guys I know (who are in their early-mid 20s) are as well.

I think that perhaps it used to be more common that people would turn to bdsm when they were not satisfied with normal sex but as for myself it's been something I've known was in me from early childhood and vanilla sex never ever appealed to me. Not that I won't have just plain sex sometimes, but it's all about the context of the relationship.

Virginity, should not be a hinderance at all. If it were none of us would be here today, Literally!

I want to add a few comments from experience. Growing up with the Girl Next Door and doing things together. Her and I talked about virginity at times. Because of the awkward situations that came up. Both for her and myself. There were times when we messed around with each other, and pleasing each other without loosing our Virginity together. We talked about it and entertained thoughts about it.
