I am an avid protestor of movies that were originally cartoons made into full feature films.

And as far as the Spice Girls movie, yes, they did make one. And i am ashamed to admit that i usually watch it when it's on. It's just soooooo terrible, like a train wrek. I just can't help but watch it.

worst movie ever: SMALLTOWN, USA

i thought it would be good coz its about some random town in central US with goth-ish/outsider kids trying to fit in, or maybe they plan a shooting or something, but its soooo bad, and one of the kids are forced to eat dog shit and suck a dick. its awful.

domiguy -> RE: Wost movies ever (3/7/2007 11:33:20 AM)

Wow...I am looking at people's "worst" movies ever...American Psycho...Really enjoyed that movie. And although Mel Gibson is a bone head I must say there are plenty of his movies that I enjoyed..Maybe not all thought provoking but Braveheart, What women want, Ransom, The Patriot, Maverick, We Were Soldiers,Payback, MadMax, and even Signs...These were all fairly decent flicks...OK now if you want to talk about Tequila Sunrise...I'd rather drink some wino's puke than sit throught that one again.

Really.... Really bad movies....Almost anything that Madonna has been in....ShowGirls had been widely thought as one of the worst movies ever made....Take out the T&A ...Sooo painful.

There are Really bad movies than there are movies that you would like to hide in your own ass to escape...

One of the few movies I have ever walked out of was called,
"Coming at You" or something similar.  It was a 3-D movie
with endless scenes of violence and gore.  The person who
invited me insisted on staying until the end, so I sat out in the
lobby and watched about 50 people leave, thoroughly disgusted.

azzmaster -> RE: Wost movies ever (3/7/2007 3:21:51 PM)

any of those really inane college frat movies... very boring

goodlittlegirl28 -> RE: Wost movies ever (3/7/2007 3:45:40 PM)

The Postman
whatever that American Idol movie was
Police Academy sequels
Rocky 5 and 6 and all future aspirations
any sequel where the original cast didn't want to be affiliated

petdave -> RE: Wost movies ever (3/7/2007 5:58:24 PM)

Movies i couldn't actually stand to watch more than twenty minutes of (on cable... knew enough not to see them at a theater):

Forrest Gump
Zoolander
Napoleon Dynamite
Hedwig and the Angry Inch

My wife worked at a movie theater for several years, and she says that the most walk-outs they ever had was for a horror movie called "The Leprechaun"... missed out on that one, m'self.

Gangs of New York. After what seemed to be 17 hours I was looking for my cyanide capsule, sadly we weren’t even half way through it. I learned to carry cyanide with me after what seemed 29 hours of Good will hunting.

domiguy -> RE: Wost movies ever (3/7/2007 6:04:03 PM)

'The Postman" Damn I wish I would have come up with that one..,..definitely one of the worst movies I have ever seen in my life!

fergus -> RE: Wost movies ever (3/7/2007 6:47:18 PM)

To be clear.

In 1967, the Beatles released the album Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band.  This was  a ground breaking album that changed how Rock music was listened to.

In 1978, the BEE GEES did a movie with the same title (NOT a remake of anything) in which they loosely cobbled together Beatles songs and redid them - badly.  The movie was HORRIBLE.  It was the sort of film in which I had to go watch someone slaughter a pig afterward top get the image of the movie out of my mind.

Another side note - the Bealtes had nothing to do with the animated film Yellow Submarine either - they just recorded some songs for it, filmed a little bit for the end of it, signed the paperwork and nicked off to India.  It wasn't even their voices in the movie ;)

RobertCloud -> RE: Wost movies ever (3/7/2007 10:36:36 PM)

It's funny that what some think are great others think are the worst, but another nomination for a worst is

"Firefox" a Clint Eastwood movie.

domiguy -> RE: Wost movies ever (3/7/2007 10:38:41 PM)

"Firefox" was ad umb movie thank God he remembere to "think" in Russian just in the nick of time....Dude, I thought you took "The Long Walk?"

Okay, then thank ALL your lucky stars (and hearts, clovers, blue moons, etc) that you never saw the SEQUAL to that peice of garbage, AKA "Leprechaun in da Hood". No lie. Apparently this one was so popular that they had to follow it up with "Leprechaun in da Hood 2". Because one movie about a wrinkly looking elf man with an unnatural shoe obession killing off horridly stereotyped black folks wasn't enough.

Mikal -> RE: Wost movies ever (3/7/2007 11:17:30 PM)

There is also Leprechaun 2, 3, and 4, "Leprechaun in Da Hood" it was number 5, and Da Hood 2 was number 6 (I know this 'cause one of my folks is an avid cheese-horror collector)... they were all BAD! *shudders* Also, there's the Wishmaster series. The first one was ok for a cuddle & cop-a-feel date on the couch... but the rest... [:'(][:'(][:'(]

Never said I was leaving for Good.. Said I was leaving for a time... I had some thinking to do and some issues to resolve. I did not know if it would take a few days or weeks or months.. as it was it only took about a week for me to be able to return like this.. I am still not going to be back full time or as much as I used to be.. but tonight I am having a little fun... and posting some... I will post upon occasion here and there, but nothing like I was... I do not know if I ever will be at that level again.

JerseyKrissi72 -> RE: Wost movies ever (3/8/2007 12:04:45 AM)

  Worst movies I ever seen:

Signs
Borne Identity
Blackula (even though i laughed)
Anaconda w/ Jennifer Lopez (even though she's hotter than hell)
Blair Witch Project
Halloween 3 "Season Of The Witch"

Zensee -> RE: Wost movies ever (3/8/2007 2:50:29 AM)

Oh god - Signs! Thanks for reminding us, JK. Here's a brilliant summary if you have somehow managed not to soil your shoes on this steaming heap - http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net/c.cgi?u=signs

Ah - it's Shyamalan again. "Lights, sound, roll camera, and action... now someone please find a screenwriter..."

Another dog, Independence Day. "Hi We are aliens with a moon sized mother ship and no radios so we have to use the earthlings' TV satelites to coordinate our invasion plans."

Let's all pray that the hostile aliens of our galaxy are as stupid as hollywood imagines.
