I think its more to do with personal attraction preference?  i'm naturally more attracted to younger men. I could never dominate a man much older than me, really, no matter how attractive. just wouldn't click right for me.
I am currently....hmm. whats the word. in the tenative stages of "where's this going" with someone new, who is nearly 8 years younger than me....and at his age, its such a tossup if the guy is mature or not. he is. I mainly am interested in HIS submission, however have realized with him that I'm a switch with the right guy. And his age isn't at all a factor in this...I would submit to him because he is able to push my buttons....he as well is a switch, but his "vanilla" personality is more on the Dom side. while thats normally irritating to me with a submissive, it's getting to me in a good way with him.
Now some different younger guy....maybe not.
But with the right person who "gets" you, you mesh well with....age doesn't matter.

I'm surprised too, but the answer is really pretty simple: the women who prefer YOUNGER men aren't writing in here because they're too busy with other things...

A while back and against my better judgment, i went on a first (and last) meet with a man 20 years younger than me.  To say it was a disaster is an understatement.  We had agreed, via e-mail, that friends were always nice to have, but it quickly became apparent that we were looking for vastly different things.  While i don't condem a whole generation for the actions of a few, i think i'm better off sticking to someone closer in age and who has similar interests.

People put way to much emphasis on age...it is just a number....I usually prefer younger by a few years anyway, but I have bottomed for one as young as 23...twice even, he is a 'diamond' in the rough, but he is working with a very experienced Master and some day may be great...I  have been with men quite a bit older than me too...I have no real preference...I  can say the 'experience' is nice on the older Dominants

Age is just a number...So is your blood pressure,number of strokes as well as heart attacks, your blood sugar readings as well as the number of prongs on the end of your cane.  But It's cool that so many younger woman prefer an older dude...Cuz in a few years I'm going to rely on one of you younger subs to change my diaper and wipe the crud and food and snot off of my face..... Is that considered age play?

Younger as in 21-22-23 yes any younger no. Because I want someone old enough to drink and go clubbing and go to bdsm events, and most events are 21 and over, with the exception of a few of the groups here. I know, I could simply not go to those events, but the absolute cut off would be 21.

Of course. My best experiences and relationships have been with men younger than I. It makes no difference at all whether one is younger or older, only the chemistry counts.

yes....age is not material to domination.  what is important to me is maturity, confidence, and experience.  as i'm still fairly new it doesn't take a lot for someone to be more experienced that i am.  but the most important thing for me is the chemistry.  i've been around some Doms who have a lot of experience and are considered to be 'experts'.  but i would never submit to them.  there's just no connection.  i'm in a 24/7 relationship wtih my Master but He is allowing me to explore with other Dominants.  the one i'm most interested in is quite a bit younger than me.  as some others have mentioned, its a bit strange when you consider submitting to One the same age as your own unmentionables.  but i've gotten past that.  i think its amazing that this person has the maturity and confidence to handle dominating people (not just me) almost twice their age and do it very well.

age is not just a number, if he's underaged, or she, no go I don't do jail bait, if their still in highschool, I probably wouldn't be interested, my schedual is very free very loose, I want someone with the same kind of schedual, If they're to far older than me, they probably would not have the same goals and motivations, someone who's 50 and raised 3 kids and are about to retire would not have the same things in mind I want. Same as someone who's 18, maybe barely aware of what they like or want to do, and can't even go to clubs with me, or drinking with me.


edited to add, not that drinking is big for me but if we're at dinner and I want a drink, and I can't share it with you cause I am giving a qoute minor unqoute* and yes if you're under 21 in CA you're a minor to the drinking age*, liqior, not gonna fly.

I am into the bdsm stuff a lot, I want to go to clubs, and I don't want which ones I can go to and when decided by them being underage to go.

There's a big difference between "older men" as in, 10-15 years my senior and someone who is my mom or dad's age.  Maybe some people wouldn't be bothered by that, but I (and I know others) are.  Hence why it is a hard limit for me.

Whew...thank god...

I dont want your old asses anyways or want to deal with your egos created from your arbitary "years of experience" so I am personally overjoyed that these views are being shared here.

It saves me the trouble of having to ignore messages in my mail box.

Personally, I look at the qualities and maturity in my partners rather than something as arbitary as years of experience or age. Maybe if submissives started doing the same they could be spared so many bad experiences and horror stories.

But hey what do I know? I'm a young Dom without many years of experience.

(P.S. I changed this, but not quick enough as some people replied to it. My orginal post was a bit of a rant that on retrospect was unfair since the views expressed here are just personal preferences (even if I find some of them to be ignorant and a testament to all these old people's lack of wisdom and maturity). So decided to annoy the people annoying me with my own personal preferences =) )

Neither can I, honestly.  I'd have to believe that they can at least be my equal first before they can be my Dom.  A college kid obviously wouldn't even be close.

I honestly don't want BDSM experience as a required attribute and couldn't care less about it.  I'm more interested in real world, real life experience.  I'm more interested in someone who is a natural Dom even if they're still "learning the ropes", no pun intended.

I agree completely.  Someone who is either fresh out of college or has children my age is in a VERY different place in their lives from me, and I'm looking for someone on the same playing field.

I agree with much of what you are saying, MadRabbit. Immaturity is very irritating whether it's in Dominants or submissives. OTOH I have such a squick factor when it comes to incest that I could never be with someone young enough that I could have given birth to them or old enough to have been my father.

Just my thoughts....

I'm with sexyred on this one! I'd prefer someone a few years either side of me, but better a Dom 5 years my junior but who brings that natural 'sparkle' with him than someone my age or older who doesn't...
