In my mind.As i see a rapeist as someone who is a coward and that he or she is very sick in the head,I personally see a rape as something very bad,and something i would never condone.As in my mind all rapeists should be strug up,and castrated.But what do you all think now please?

rape and rape play are two very different things. to people like me, who have been raped, rape play can be difficult or impossible because of the reactions it can cause. but even i can see that rape and rape play are two very different things. i could see myself enjoying rape play at some point in the very, very far future. the consensual fantasy of non-consent and the actuality of being forced into something are NOT the same. i think the poll is extremely unfair because i agree that a rapist is a coward and i do NOT condone rape, but i have had fantasies about rape and i don't think people who have rape fantasies are sick at all. i think you're confusing two very different things, and making a lot of generalizations and unfair judgments along the way.

Rape and fantasies about rape are completely two different things. That is why they are called fantasies. Having dreams of any nature does not make you sick, acting them out does. Personally I adore all types of rape play and rough sex and have plenty of fantasies of being raped by a stranger(s) but have seen first hand the difference between reality and fantasy and those are two completely different worlds that do not interact and like hisannabelle wrote the poll has two different discussions going on.

There is a great deal of difference between the fantasy of rape, and the reality of rape.The reality of rape is that it is an act of violence, true violence. The fantasy involves a level of control on the part of the "victim". I had no such control when it happened to me. I'm over it, and can discuss it, it's just part of my past history. I happen to like the whole rape role-play scene, and there is absolutely NO connection between the trauma i experienced as a child, and the activity I engage in now. As far as punishment for the scum.....my idea is to take them out to an old barn with the loft filled with dry straw, nail them to the floor by the balls, leave them a rusty old knife, and toss a match into the straw on the way out......let them decide what's more important......as for my rapist, I just know that what goes around, comes around. The Fates ARE women, after all!

Reality and Fantasy...two vastly different worlds. Being made slave, in reality is the most horrible & debasing of all things, but....the fantasy is all together different, however. You cannot just willy nilly accuse one of being sick because they have a fantasy that is not to your acceptance level. Rape is criminal; but tearing a partner's clothes off, violently, in fantasy play is not at all criminal. You try to compare apples and oranges. Rape is horrific in reality, there is nothing sensual or sexy about rape. When faced with the choice of fantasy or reality; always choose fantasy; you can walk away, any time.

I am personally quite happy to have the fantasies I do , and I think the op needs to think more carefully about posting, because it seems a little prejudiced to say things like people who do poly are "a cult following" and it seems pot calling kettle black to call people sick for their fantasies.

ya know, i don't care what they say about rape being an act of violence...my personal opinion is that it IS an act of sexual agression...they can sugar coat it all they want to...but i think that, if someone's gonna cause an act of violence...they would do just that. if someone rapes someone else...it's a sexual act...get real people...it's not temporal mechanics here. I think the OP needs to pull his head out of his ass and stop posting polls that reflect HIS opinion, that many of us might find offensive, just to see how far flung he can get his own opinions. For soeone involved in an open minded community, you have a lot of very negative opinions about things other people enjoy. Problem is, you dontneessarily have the god sense to keep them to yourself. Why not put your list of likes and dislikes out here for us all of us to see? I am sure we can rip you apart like you seeem to enjoy doing to others interests. I for one do not appreciate how you sem to try and lad us into your opinions. If someone has a rape fantasy, then good for them. If they engage in a consentual FANTASY about a power exchance like that, then thats what they want. Real rape is about a nonconsentual power exchange, so there should be no surprise that the power exchance is the fantasy fodder of people who's lives center around the dramatic exchanges of power. Do you have to agree? no. And as I have said on other posts of yours, if you dont like it, then dont engage in it. But please, stop trying to put others down for their likes. Its very close minded. please, pardon my intrusion again. In California, a Mexican girl was found wandering down the highway, with both her arms cut off. She was raped, and the fuck, who was a multi convicted rapist did the deed. He was caught, sentenced, served his time, and was due to be released, a furor arose in CA. over this release; Should the state keep him locked up, beyond his sentence or release him. Goodie two shoe's defended him as having served his time, paid for his crime, and should be released, after all, his dept to society was paid. In a televised interview a pastor of a church defended and championed this guy as god forgives sinners and so shall we for their errant ways. The MC asked if this pastor had any daughters, reply, yes two; then asked would he mind having this guy released into the pastor's custody and home. Well, needless to say, we all know the excuses why he couldn't, but it was okay to have him free in other neighborhoods and communities. He was released into society, under some so called supervision, went about his life....and committed several more rapes, caught again. The Mexican girl.....incidently, she still has no arms, just some mechanical devices. Who the hell cared about her. Sexy isn't it; the reality really turned me on. FANTASY is NOT REALITY. You do not cut peoples arms off after sex.

It's about power. It is very interesting to me that even with all the knowledge we have access to at the click of a mouse, that anyone would still hold on to such an archaeic view, let alone publically proclaim that view, without fully educating themselves on the topic first. Geez, for that matter, all you have to do is watch Prime Time television to get an education on the crime of rape. Now if we are talking rape-play... Excuse me while I go take a cold shower.

While I do have strong feelings about rape in the criminal sense I am not sure that is the context you are approaching the subject with so I refuse to vote. If you are going to begin a thread on such a serious subject perhaps, given the nature of the website you are posting in, you should word your questions in a manner that is more explicit to your intent. The problem with the way it is now is that you will get very different replies based on potentially faulty information.
