What all does Mentorship entail? I've been doing some research on it after I was approached by a self proclaimed "Mentor". Almost immediately, he tried to have me delete my profile and only talk to him. FORGET THAT!! I've heard of Mentors that give out "assignments". I've also read where they are there with an ear to listen and be helpful. Help to watch out for red flags. Be a safe call. etc etc. Is there any more I should know? I am interested in becoming one myself. I'm being asked for advice already. I just want to define the lines. Thanks for any help with this subject.

I have always used the term mentor, when you are teaching someone else about a subject or passing along a skill that you have some expertise in.

It doesnt mean that By using this knowledge or bond that develops to my advantage..

The old expression, beware of greeks bearing gifts, ( I do not personally imply anything with regard to the use of the term greeks, feel free to insert the nationality of your choice)
