i get several e-mails throughout the week from different Doms/Masters who are seeking and i was asking myself this morning why, out of all these e-mails there is not One i am really interested in pursuing.  What i basically came up with was there is no "wow" factor they pretty much all sound the same.  Here's my question:

Was there the 'wow' factor for you right from the start?

I know exactly what you mean.  Thanks because I've never been able to put it into words.  The wow factor takes your breath away with just a few words and you just know instantly that there is a spark and a connection.  When it's not there for me from the start, there's no amount of emails that will change my mind.  It's necessary for me to even consider him.

Oh, most definitely.  I was completely intrigued with Sir.  I specifically remember saying to him that I hoped our "chemistry" when we met would be as powerful as what I felt in our correspondence and phone conversations prior.  It was.  :)

a certain charisma that seems to just flow from the words that they type. I like those that are very aggressive and asserttive in what they want and it shows in their mails or in chat with them. It says 'here I am and you don't stand a chance'

You just did a really good job of putting it into words.  This is what I experienced with my Master in our first conversation.  Kind of like, "You had me from the word hello."  Okay for me it was a little past the hello part...lol.  But not much beyond that.

I have experienced both. The wow factor in some cases are over rated, especially over a computer where you put your best foot forward even if it might not be a true foot. I have met some where i was wowed over a computer and then in person completely disappointed. I have met some finally in person and more wowed (weak in the knees and all). And there have been some that it took one or two correspondences for them to open up, where i have found a great attraction.

I, know for me, it does end up seeming like just another Dom when you get so many emails.

my "wow" factor came when i was a member of AFF. within 24hrs of joining and posting a pic (nothing suggestive or a nude shots of my body), my inbox and bulk mail was instantly stuffed with messages from guys i wouldn't consider meeting in real life. after reading their message, i thought to myself  "they got to be joking! gangbanging on the first date ...meeting privately alone for a first meet ... "do me" doms with very sick ideas".  a few were stupid enough to "volunteer" their personal info that i could have opened a credit cards in their name and the ones i didn't respond back were trying to impress me with the size and widith of their girth (wasn't interested). most of them wanted to "meet and fuck" and i clearly stated in my profile i wasn't interested in that.

out of the many messages on AFF, only Daddy's the one i replied back right away.  He actually took the time to read my profile and understood what i was searching for ...He didn't impress me about His cock size or requested an immediate meeting between us. He did something that most of these guys didn't do on AFF - He treated like a lady and respected me as a person.

Yes, the wow factor.  I love it.  Its so true.  If there's no wow, its not happening.

I don't think I've ever spent any significant amount of time with a woman when the "wow factor" was present. Every time when I have spent a goodly amount of time with somebody, their complexity as a human being definitely blocked any "wow" development ... and I was the better for it.

On the other hand, I can't say I've ever spent much time with a woman who found that I hit her with the "wow." Every case I recall had the "wow" disappear when she discovered that I was far more complex than her surface impressions first led her to believe.

I enjoy charisma and I enjoy being around people who consider me charismatic; that doesn't mean I want to take them to the dungeon.

Honestly?  Not so much, but I wasn't looking for an online wow connection.  My owner finds it funny but I wasn't sure that he was even for real when we talked, because he didn't have a picture (this was like 9 years ago when having pictures online wasn't quite as commonplace).  There was certainly a connection when we met, and that connection has deepened over time.

C~

when i saw my former Master's profile on AFF, that's exactly what i said:  WOW!!!  we took our time getting to know each other, eventually i wore his collar, & i still think WOW even though that part of our relationship is over...we remain very close friends & i feel as though that will last for the rest of our lives...sometimes the wow lasts.....

Nope.  I found him amusing in that he was so shy I had to practically wrench him to sit next to me and get a few words out.  He was CONVINCED that I'd never speak to him again after that.

But I did :)

From his emails, and out initial contact.  No.  Actually, quite the opposite, I was EXTREMELY unimpressed. He was fun to talk to, but he seemed all wrong for me, so I hadnt really given him much thought.  The wow factor didnt hit until we met face to face, months later.

If someone talks to me, they've got it.

Joking.  Kinda.  Maybe?

I can't describe what it is, really.  The only thing I can say is that a lot of Dommes come across as either Pros, princesses, or lost in fantasy.  If you're local and none of those, I may just sign up.

Beyond that, be human.

Yours,

benji
