have you ever really liked a poster then see a totally different person a few months later? Does your attitude/opinion toward them change? Why or how do you think this change in them came about

For myself I have actually found that my own headspace can really impact upon how I read other posts.  I go through stages where I interpret things in general in a more negative way so that rather than it being the poster who has changed it is more that something in me has.  I haven't experienced any significant change in opinion about other posters on here.

Just a curiosity question I know that for me I have been reading the message boards for quite some time now. Over the last few years There have been some people here I am amazed with. I admire very much. Some people I just really liked from the get go of there first post. Those I would keep an eye on because I was truly interested in what they had to say.  As months went on There came that day when suddenly a couple of those people make a post and well....  It just does not sound like the same person. I continue to read their posts, however, as even more time passes this person seems to have changed dramatically from how they were when they first started to post on the board.   Is this their real self (I know we hate the word real) but which person is this? Was the person they seemed to be in the beginning wearing a mask? have you ever really liked a poster then see a totally different person a few months later? Does your attitude/opinion toward them change? Why or how do you think this change in them came about? There are a couple right now whom I used to look forward to. Now I cant believe how different they appear and what they post. Very disappointing

Well I know I was drunk a couple times...

LOL....

To the OP:   I've changed over the years at collarme, but I hope not so much that the spiritual being I am comes off as an entirely different entity.
I do know what you mean though in changing impressions over time...  I've gained respect for some over time, and lost a great deal for others over time, so life goes....  Living, learning, and changing.    M

FR-
I think this might be the 3rd time trying to explain and since I suck at it lol I should just let the whole dam thing go. But.. This was a question-my curiosity was bugging me one morning. This was not a rant or complaint. It was Not meant towards people having just a bad day- headaches-drunk - woke up on the wrong side of the bed -changing their minds -having troubles from time too time or just a moment post. It was about people who their whole persona seemed to have done a 180. Like they split in to two personalities- Then and now completely opposite in every way. Anyway it's no big deal. Those of you Who seem to think I have a "problem" with the way someone posts, get it out of your heads. I DO NOT dwell- or focus on this. Was merely a question, I was interested to see if anyone else had seen such a 100% change in another. Some of you understood what I was trying to say (although not well)  Thanks everyoneHave a Great tomorrow

I think that, like myself, there are probably others that start out fairly kind and non-agressive towards everyone. After a period of time, the other poster's personalities begin to show, patterns emerge, and you begin to lose patience, be less kind, start calling them on their bullshit.

Example, joesubbie says "Oh my gawd, I went to meet MistressMeanBitch and she was really a flakey toothless old man" Now, if you never saw joesubbie post and his lament was well written and full of strife you would probably feel kinda bad for him. BUT, if you had seen a pattern over months of posting, similar crap just a different day. Well, your gonna tell him to pull his head out of his ass and get a grip. See my point?

Like someone else said, I don't have alot of patience for stupidity. When I perceive someone as prattling on in a stupid idiotic manner, and it catches me on a particularly intollerant day I will more than likely call a spade a spade instead of a cute lil digging utensil thingamajiggy. I try, very hard, to maintain a certain level of civility. I hope I succeed more often than not.

Another thing I have realized is that humour does not always translate well. Many times what one person perceives as being nasty might in fact, be intended in a very different way.

And sometimes you even have to call it a fucking shovel.

To the restated OP, I can't think of anyone in my experience here, who has done such a radical turnabout.  I've seen change and growth (or regression), but no Jekyll and Hyde.

I don't think I have changed that much..I do talk alot more, but thats only because I have come to know most of the "regulars" and I feel comfortable with you.  As opposed to when I first came here and was wary about saying anything at first.

I like the new pic of you, too cuddleheart50 (nice) but I have to say I think the doggie in your pic is so cute! I have a Beagle, and the doggie reminds me of my Beagle (Oscar) when he was younger. I am a big Beagle fan.

What an adorable pic of you both.

G'morning all:

(Fast Reply)

People grow, change, and evolve. It's nature. You can't stop it or alter it's inevitability. Some folks have a tendency to romanticize their views of others or choose to only identify with a portion of what they've encountered. Yet others still don't display all the facets of their personality through a given medium. The list of possibilities is endless.

Using myself as an example; I'm often seen as sarcastic and acerbic. It tends to provoke people. Which is fine, I like to challenge individuals into thinking rather than reacting. I've even went so far as to change my screen name because my attitudes towards D/s and BDSM changed over time. I have moments of deeply profound thoughts, insights, etc. I just don't reveal them to everyone.

Stay safe, play nice, & share your toys w/ others...

Bella
