Status: offline 		Do Doms send you messages ignoring what you've said you're looking for?  The reason I ask is because I've been browsing alot of profiles and almost all of them have a million disclaimers and complaints about unwanted people bothering them.  I'ts a shame because I feel like a few non-profile reading stubborn male doms have made the females alot more apprehensive.  It also means that we have to read a mile long list of "no's" on every profile.  I also wonder how many messages does a slave/sub with a pic receive every day? I read alot of profiles that say they get too many to even answer.

It seems to me that the profile is the ideal, just as a want ad by an employer. If the person sounds interesting, send a general polite message. No harm done even if you get back a nasty reply (it lets you know who you wouldn't want anyway).

I recently added my picture to my profile..the first 7 days, I recieved over 200 unsolicited e-mails.
 
Now, averages about 10 per day that have not read or chose to ignore what I seek.
 
On a positive note;  the ones I do receive are very cordial for the most part.  I just do not respond.  (which was very hard for me to do at first because of the southern "not to be rude" thing)

Status: offline 		It depends on where you live, your picture, and how long you've been on the site.  But I've had days when I receive several and I have priorities outside of telling a guy exactly why I'm not interested.

My profile doesn't list all that many requirements, but I do get some that don't seem to recognize that I'm taken.  And I've said things about how important grammar and other proper writing is and I still get emails that seem like the writer never took English 101. (or hell, even kindergarten).  So yes, it happens pretty regularly.

Status: offline 		So I see that it's not just sub females but this happens to everybody. 
I always read a persons complete profile first and then if I'm not on their "no list" and she's attractive, then I send her an email introducing myself, what I"m looking for etc.... Most seem very appreciative to see that you have read their profile.
200 messages in 7 days though....Damn!! My point is that I think people would be more open and friendly if it werent for these dumbasses.  They have probably scared off quite a few people and discouraged them from using the site to meet their ideal person.

Yup. They contact me trying to own me when my dom is in my picture and I've got it written several times on my profile. The best one was a one-liner that just said "Are you owned?" I get these with varying frequency, but there is generally one or two a month at least. I would imagine that if I'm getting them, the uncollared and unowned subs/slaves are definately getting a lot more.

Status: offline 		i had pictures under my old collarme name (nothing suggestive or containing nudity) and i received messages from Doms who didn't bother to read my profile. however under my current profile name, i don't have pictures posted but i do stress i'm collared by bigsambaman.  if you want to see a picture of me, just send a note - will be taking some tonight now that i cut my hair.

Status: offline 		It's true of any social site on the internet -- women get tons of unsolicited email, period. There's no way to stop that.

I do agree with slaveish, though -- it's like a job ad. It is a list of ideal requirements, but I know very, very few people in life who are in a job or a relationship where they fit the ideal requirements. What happens in reality is that people meet and hit it off and the good qualities outweigh the bad, or they realize that what they viewed as negative qualities were really just associated with some bad person in the past who had those qualities.

Obviously if someone is a lesbian dominant looking for sub females and some dominant male keeps hitting on her, that's just obnoxious. But if someone says they only want to hear from doms in a certain age range and you're 2 years older or younger, I don't see any particular rudeness in introducing yourself, so long as you're willing to accept that they might still disqualify you solely on that basis.

All that said, every slave I've had seems to go through waves of email. When joining, you can easily expect a young girl with a photo to get hundreds of messages from people who pay no attention to the profile, which will taper off in a week or two. Then I'd say they get a couple dozen a week, of which 80% give no indication they've read the profile. There will be weeks of total silence, and then random weeks with 200 messages.

Status: offline 		Aqua gets tons and tons (and tons) of unsolicited emails, like she said. I, on the other hand, get none. I'd almost feel like sniffling... without my daily dose of snark, I just don't feel like the day's complete.

So, come on, folks! I'm tired of seeing my mailbox empty, and my sarcasm glands are starting to wither from lack of use!

Status: offline 		Doms and subs do the same thing.  They contact at random a lot of times.  In order to actually ignore preferences, you would have had to have read them. I dont think there are a lot of people who do that.  I know I get a lot of email from Doms and subs who have not taken the time to read a word I have said. I imagine it is the same for sub women, and switch women.

To the OP, I'd have to say that happens more often than not.  Most of the times, I don't bother to reply. A lot of the time, I just block and delete. I don't have the time or the energy to deal with the wannabes.

MissyRane, you're almost correct.  This site wouldn't be any fun without FukinTroll. As far as I'm concerned, he's the only acceptable troll

Status: offline 		I have my filter set up so unwanted email goes to bulk folder. It isn't only doms that sometimes can't read it is submissives as well. Sending a nice unsolicited email is nice but I can't stand trolling.
