ORIGINAL: Sanity If I had to choose between what we have now and farglebargle's anarchy, that's an easy choice. Give me the Constitution and President Bush. Farglebargle's version of paradise sounds too much like Somalia or some damn thing like that. The Sudan. Angry mobs running around killing anyone they don't like the looks of might not be too much fun in the long run. Maybe your allegience is better directed not at the Federal Government, but your own State? Anarchy? Is that what you call "PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY"? Because when The Citizens are PERSONALLY RESPONSIBLE for their own security and safety, the form WELL REGULATED MILITIAS, under their own command. If New Orleans had "A Well Regulated Militia", they would have been able to respond locally, effectively, to the crisis they experienced. And I ain't talking about the "National Guard", they're just more of The President's Bitches, despite what the recruiting ads say. You need people loyal to AT MOST, their state, PREFERABLY, their County. But living in Albany, NY, whose CITY Charter predates the Declaration of Independence, NYS Constitution, and Federal Constitution by more than a century give you the perspective to understand that the Feds aren't the answer to ANY question. yes and that is it exactly! Each state is supposed to have their own militia and of course the feds are right their with their hands out with offerings of help (with strings attached of course usually in the form of reduced liberties), so as a matter of "CONVENIENCE" everyone jumps on board and now of course the only thing left is to depend on the feds and we can see what a wonderful job they are doing... we are happy arent we?> LOL agreed FB actually as far as i am concerned the setup should extend to the county level. each sovereign and with its own constitution as well and distribute power oeven wider as i said in another post to fhky, thereby making it even more difficult to take over this gov. if not nearly impossible. Power is being consolidated for the sake of alal things convenience and we can all see that what the forefathers saud is very tru and consolidation of power is evel and it does not matter which party is in office they will all use it accordingly... So we lose our liberties for convenience sake of all things. ie: fucking laziness!
