I am more familiar with long slow sensuous spankings. They include some nice warm up slaps, alot of rubbing, more slaps, more rubbing. The swats slowly build up in intensity. Once some warmth is achieved, the implements can be used. But in this kind of spanking they are used for sensation, not to inflict real pain. Even the harshest implement, like a cane, can be used for sensation and erotic play by lightly tapping it all over the bottom.
