I just had the topic of “men being men” brought up about a week or so ago. I have had many men approach me in the past few years who seek someone to help them straighten out their life. Basically, they want a babysitter/mommy type snap them into being the man they should already be. I don’t have kids and I surely don’t want an adult acting like one around me. With that being said, I don’t want to waste my energy "teasing out" their masculinity and bringing out their best. I don’t see these as unpolished gems as much as a gem I don't care to mess with. Now there are a few people I have come across and I know without a doubt they are unpolished gems worth their weight in gold. I enjoy spending time with them and buffing out the edges.
