LadyPact -> RE: When D/s springs from vanilla -or- how long does it take? (4/12/2007 5:58:10 AM)

I don't know if this helps any, but it's been on a couple of the other boards, so I'll lend the story. To answer your question directly, four years, eight months, and a number of days. Let Me back up a bit. My husband I met vanilla, dated vanilla, and except for the occassional "fantasy play" lived vanilla. Then, about a year or so ago, We started branching out a bit. I still didn't tell him about My prior experience as a Domme. I just really didn't think it was going to be acceptable to him. I really didn't open up to him about that part of Myself until I took My most recent sub last year. After the initial shock wore off, and the "Why didn't you tell me" phase was over, he was quite happy with his, how should I say this...... discovery. Built in kink that he didn't really know exisited. (I should mention that I didn't take any boys during the period that he was in the dark. Not in any way, shape, or form.) Now, I'm sort of Mentoring him, for lack of a better term. He has interest in being a Dom himself, and We might possibly evolve into a poly household someday. I have a switch friend who is playing with Us on the understanding that it is for learning purposes. I'd like to find another submissive, like My last pet, who could help in the areas of the more intimate structure of the dynamic, but We're working with what We've got in the meantime. All in the interest of science, right? Anyway, there are a lot of details missing, but that was the basics of the journey. My husband isn't My sub, so it may not have been exactly what you are looking for, but maybe it was some interesting information.
