OK, I can see you're not feeling me brother....do french poodles have rights?  Try to think out of the box, and think about it in them terms.

God Dammit!...Now I'm fucking pissed!  Why in the fuck are there French Poodles?...There are grotesque animals...Gunk around their eyes...Eeeeeew!  We should end "the war on terror" and start the war on "French Poodles"...I think this is something the whole country could rally around and although they are sneaky I believe are losses might be substantially reduced....

Are they tasty?

Not really.  A little stingy, from my experience.  Not much meat.

FirmKY

Apparently bear tastes stingy too. Whatever the hell stingy tastes like?
Is it like putting a nettle on your tongue?

The PETA people will object.  They will insist that the French Poodles do not have any WMD.  They will insist that their caustic yapping is not toxic.  They will complain and whine that the poor baby French Poodles have a right to dignity and education and must be supported.  They will agree that a dog genetically bred to be a cheese-eating surrender monkey has a place in our world.

But we know better.

I say we bring our troops home, and drop legions of gunk-eyed yap-dogs into Iraq.  Many (hopefully all) will die, but the Iraqis will learn the Truth.

OK...Here is a good question?  Is there some sort of  mandatory  requirement for old women to purchase one of these nasty, ornery cock sucking dogs or are they distributed by the Government?  Obviously the Grim Reaper can cue in to their non-stop yapping.... These creatures are a harbinger of death...Fuck them all!

What is a "right" and where does it come from?

FirmKY

The suffering we create because of the factory farm system is probably worse than anything we as humans have done before throughout history, but it's ok because we can distance ourselves from that action because we can say animals are different from us.  Those same words have been used throughout history to justify everything from slavery to the ethnic cleansing of people around the world.

What difference does it make if another can suffer?  Why do we chose whose suffering is more important?  Yet, we do.  It was easy for people to justify the suffering of slaves because of their skin color or the suffering of jews because of their religion.  Now, we justify suffering based on genetic code.  Do a quick search for factory farms and you will see what I mean by suffering.

As for rights, I don't think there is any such thing.  My best guess is that human morality is centered around the formation of powerful groups of which you desire to be a member, and the subjugation of others.  We can also be very kind and compassionate, but only when we identify with another.  The other might be human, it might be a cat or dog, or it might be farm animal.  We can also be cruel beyond words.  Rights seem to be completely arbitrary.

Just because we should treat animals with respect and give them rights - doesnt mean they get taken off the food chain.

Just because a human walks into an African jungle - doesnt mean the lion pride there is going to take him off the food chain.

IMO the Native American's had the way of it.

Animal's are also NOT there to SERVE us.  They're there to balance the eco of the planet.

What i cant wait for.......... is when us humans meets a higher species that relates to us, the way we relate to cows.

Its all about respect, really folks.

Never did anyone say "dont eat the cow" "dont eat the meat" "dont eat the plants"

All we, as humans, need to do, is treat them respect.  Respect due to another living breathing life.  Because ya know what - with out all the "life" on this planet.. this planet would be fucking dead.  Maybe humans need to learn to be thankful and learn to appreciate what they have.......... and ooooooooo (tough concept) respect it.

Yah!  ...What SHE said!

It was found by archeaologists that Neanderthal co-existed with modern man, they were thought to be just humans that evolved but indeed they cross-bred with modern man,

There is no proof that Neanderthals cross bred with humans.  Of course you can argue that they did and there is no proof they did not.  The best statement is we don't know if they did.
