Well, Stef was actually nice about what she said. However, I am not known for being so nice [:)]

Anyone who is STUPID enough to send money western union to a person that they have NEVER met, deserves exactly what they get.

WhipOfNight -> RE: Scam by dominant female (3/21/2007 12:23:58 PM)

Dear Sissyjasmine,

Please don’t listen to those jerks who are criticizing you for your posting.  You are the victim here and it’s tragic that anyone would blame you, the victim, when it’s the despicable person who cheated you that they should be blaming!  What happened to you is completely outrageous and that’s why, over three years ago, my business associates and I started a service to not only help people like you recover lost funds from scammers like the despicable jerk who victimized you but also make sure that they are prosecuted to the fullest extent possible under current U.S. law.  I can’t absolutely promise that we will be able to get your funds back but, as of today, we have a 95% success rate so the chances are excellent that we will be able to fully recover your lost funds!  As I’m sure you can understand, the recovery process is rather involved and is not something that can be done for free.  Our current rate is $150 which will need to be sent to our offices via Western Union before we can start getting your money back.   However that is something that we can discuss further in emails.  Again, I am very sorry to hear about your loss and I hope we can help.

         With regard and sympathy,

         WhipOfNight

Okay, you've made your tuition payment.  The post right above me is your first pop quiz.

Oh, that is priceless.

cyberdude611 -> RE: Scam by dominant female (3/21/2007 1:24:00 PM)

This is why you NEVER give money to someone on the internet without making sure they are legit or you meet them in person.

It was blunt.  Blunt is not mean.

Now, if I had said  "Look you ignorant shmuck, you got exactly what you deserved because you were too fucking stupid to pay attention to the GLARING RED WARNINGS that popped up on the screen whenever you read email," that would have been mean.

stef:
That is not mean at all...mean would be something like "Awwe sweetie that is such a shame ...send me $3,000  and I will show you what a real fucking is"[;)]

Because I know her home address and cell phone number
Do you think I should pursue legal action in a small claim court?

You could do so.

You might even win.

In doing so, you would need to provide all of the written proof that you paid her for services.  Her response will probably be to claim that she had no idea why you sent her money, or that her services (and you understood this up front) were entirely verbal or on the phone.

Eventually, the judge makes a determination.  This might go your way.  It might not go your way.

Any hope you had of keeping your lifestyle and proclivities private would be completely destroyed.

It is up to you, but if it were me I would put it down as costs of learning how to survive in The Lifestyle.

Or you do not care whether you see the money again.

p.s. I loaned a childhood friend a lot (thousands of dollars) once to start a restaurant.  I told him as I gave him the cashier's check that I valued our friendship a lot more than the money, and really didnt care whether I got it back or not.

p.p.s.  I can always make more money.

bandit25 -> RE: Scam by dominant female HELP (3/21/2007 6:47:58 PM)

Let's see.  I'd say you got off cheap...especially if you learned anything.

domiguy -> RE: Scam by dominant female HELP (3/21/2007 6:56:54 PM)

I'm not really that smart,  but you have got big boobs.  I know that it costs money to make them bigger...So maybe you could get three hundred dollars if you make them smaller?...Just a thought..... I hope all works out well for you.

It's none of my business, but did you get it back? And did the restaurant succeed? I gather it's one of the toughest businesses to launch.

DiurnalVampire -> RE: Scam by dominant female (3/21/2007 7:51:43 PM)

If you want to meet a pro, do so face to face.  You cant really do anything n smal claims, becasue you sent her the money willingly.  She did not offer to provide a service for the money, and you have no written proof that she misrepresented herself.  Youd be on very shaky ground.
The warnings have been there, just different warnings. Youve been burned.  Learn from it, and be more careful about your desire to tribute.  Common sense shouldnt take a vacation becasue you are new.  Would you have sent money to a random vanilla woman who told you to?

Better luck next time, and be more careful.  Youl ruin your perception of the lifestyle if youn arent careful

One, unless you have physically been to the "home address" it probably is a neighbor, an empty lot, or a dozen other places.  Most likely not the actual home address.

Two, legal action?  She asked you for money - you sent it.  Sounds like nothing was done illegally.  Did you pay for an item that wasn't delivered?  No judge is going to be sympathetic for what you did.  Consider it a painful, but enlightening, lesson in life and be glad you learned it at 21 with $300 and not at 71 with your life savings.  If you don't think you have learned your lesson yet, you can send me $300 at the address in my profile and I'll send you a certificate (suitible for framing!) of lesson learned that you can put on your wall next to your computer to remind you not to send money to people you meet online.

The restaurant did not succeed.  I got some of it back.  He worked off some if building stuff at my house.

I knew going in I probably would never see it again.

I would do it again.

Every so often a person finds somebody in life that they know they can call at 3 in the morning and ask them to send lawyers, guns, and money to get one out of a jam, and that person will be there doing what needs to be done, no questions asked.

He is that kind of friend to me, and has done just that for me.  I am that kind of friend to him, and have done just that for him.

This may be the funniest maiden post in collarme history.

Sorry that the restaurant didn't pan out; that must have been a bummer for your friend.

Glad it didn't take a toll on your friendship, though.

Thanks for everyone's input on this matter
Especially to everyone that sent me a private message with advice.
Also to WhipofNight for the post...I was like "What an ass" but later just learned to laugh and live with it..I deserved that post.

It's been on my mind alot and thinking about what to do. I am not going to pursue legal action but I did file a report with collarme and the internet fraud department in michigan. I am also looked up the phone number and found the registered home address...I am thinking about confronting her and at least just see her face. If she just slams the door on me..fine whatever...i learned my lesson and life moves on..no need for violence then the law will be on me.

Sorry, but I agree with stef on this one.  The warnings are listed right at the top of the page.  Blunt is not mean.  How could the warning be able to stand out more?

There are plenty of reputable Fem Dommes on this site, both Pro and non.  If one was foolish enough to send money before services were rendered, I would say, let the buyer beware.
