Cab, Bordeaux, or Pinot, depending on the label. Typically anything from the Cotes du Rhone region is wonderful. I typically prefer Tempranillo to Rioja but Marquez de Caceres is pretty good, as is Crianza.
I also love a good Chardonnay. Farniente is one of my favorites.

Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... Farniente; but who can afford it? Damn, that was the 'white' I cut my teeth on; a very hard act to follow! LaT said it right; a good white is hard to find; I drink RED!!!
Mmmm you know Farniente too, huh? Wow you're right - tough to follow that. Farrari Carano is a good runner up. I will buy these as a treat from time to time, but they are not the norm. If I want a decent chardonnay at home, I'll get Joseph Phelps or Rodney Strong.
I was first introduced to Farniente by a former boss of mine who took a few of us to lunch and ordered a bottle...or two. [;)]
