When a bullet is fired, shoot misiles and bombs where it came from. It does not matter if the shot came from a home, business, or Muslim Temple. When the enemy attacks, fire back and blow them and there location off the map.
Both the citizens of Iraq and terrorist forces where under the bruit terror of Saddam for many years. It's come to be they only way the understand things. So let's speak the languge to show that we really mean business. Otherwise, we'll continue to deal with this occupancy crap for another five years.

What are you trying to achieve in Iraq that would make this sort of carnage worthwhile?

To keep History from repeating itself. The USA helped Afghanistan fight off Russia and look were that lead to. Instead of being greatfull, the citizens of Afghanistan where upset that we did not stay and help rebuild. From that hatred spawned Bin Laden and his terrorist group.

Now, we've liberated Iraq. This time, we're going to stay, rebuild, and take out all the threats so another Bin Laden will not be born.

That's the altimate achievment to make the carnage worth while.

How did this Afghan upset mainfest itself? Wasn't Bin Laden a Saudi? and the vast majority of Al-Quaeda, Saudis and North Africans? Weren't the 20 bombers North Africans?

Liberated them to what? Your idea of liberation? Maybe they don't agree with your idea of liberation....and actually want their own idea of liberation, which in effect means you're imprisoning them, not liberating them?

NG,

Please don't confuse actual concrete circumstance when there is loose and random cogitation, euphamisms and slingable jingoes  that can be handed out by people playing at great thought, it is so veddy veddy veddy bloody english.

Not the american way, it is not about crickets as you guys say.

And frankly, it tires the cowboys out and irritates them further,  then they get a hankerin' to go kick the shit outta a few cows.

Ron, if you see any democracy on your travels, point it in this direction.....because we have a dictator here called HRH Market and he's lording it, and his loyal subjects are transitioning from humans to robots. We could do with some of this genuine freedom, if there's any going spare.

IIRC, mostly Saudis.

I know this is off-topic, but why don't you like the bankruptcy law?

I don't know much about it.

DC,

The new bankruptcy law doesn't allow you to discharge credit card debt.  Many card card company's (banks) have very VERY predatory practices designed to suck people in.

Some of their tactics are simply beyond reprehensible.

Now, when they trick you, you can't discharge the debt through bankruptcy.  You have to carry it forward.  For many people, this is tantamount to financial slavery.

You'll get both sides of the issue.  Aren't people responsibile for the debt that they incurr?  Yes.  But many credit card company's will not only willingly pay your way to hell, they will actively encourage you to jump into the fires.

At one time, there was a risk to them, in playing that game.  You burn someone enough, they ended up in bankruptcy and discharged the debt.

Now, they own you for eternity.

FirmKY

PS.  Don't get me started on insurance companies, either.  Another industry that deserves a nuke up their collective asses.

Firm ---

Thanks for enlightening me. I had heard that credit card companies were pushing hard for the bill, which made me suspicious, but I didn't know the details.

Cheers,

DC
