Geeze Louise! I haven't even read the replies yet but all I can say is "welcome to the forums" and you have a lot to learn. I'm sure that in the 4 years you've been active in the lifestyle you've really done it all, but may I suggest you keep your mind open to the possibility that there are concepts and philosophies out there that you cannot even fathom at this point. I also envy you in this magical place you live where all dominants have earned the right to be called some title...it differs greatly from the world I am in where people can call themselves whatever they want without prior certification.

i've been in the lifestyle alot longer...and i haven't done any of it...YET!!!

LOL

I've been looking through the profiles, and I have found that there are ALOT of subs who not only don't know their place, but think that it's ok for them to be openly hostile.  I've decided to put this up as a Dom who is thinking about you subs and don't want to see you get yourself into trouble.
Listen, Doms and Dommes alike have earned the title of Sir, usually through intensive training and study.  You'll find that a Dom who hasn't will be looked down upon and you will be shown that he is not worthy even of the title Dom.  For that reason, upon first speaking to ANY Dom, call them "Sir" or "Madam".  This is not something beneath you.  You're a sub!  You're supposed to enjoy service and humility.
I heard one sub say "I will not be a doormat!".  Well, believe it or not, that's sort of stupid.  Thats like saying, "I love sunny days, so I better hide from the sun under this rock".  What is the problem with people like this?  They aren't subs!  They are just girls who want a real man.  There's no problem with that, but at least let us know what you REALLY want by not calling yourself a slave.  Most of the girls like this I've seen quallify only as a "Switch".
Any other Masters who want to comment or expand feel free.
Interesting. I have my girls call others Sir or Ma'am. Not because they've earned it or that I think my girls should "kowtow" to another but because I believe that it is just a simple courtesy and I want my girls to be courteous. I won't have my girls call them Master or Mistress though, unless we are in a high protocol function. Even then it is out of coutesy and part of the protocols of the function.

But in essence, my point here is that you may teach your girls to act however you may choose for whatever reason you may like. Their training is on you. But for you to think everyone should do this same thing for the same reason is alittle much for my tastes. Expecting such from me will get you a chuckle in least.

Ah yes, the old "intensive training and study" earnestness. However, official guidelines for an Accredited Dominant Partner can vary widely from state to state (and sometimes even jurisdictions within them). For instance, in the Domestic Domme curricula at many Chicago area community colleges, they teach that you should have your sub kneel on haunches with hands at his/her sides whenever you enter the room. But in New England? Ha - not so much! They seem to favor the "standing straight, head bowed" ritual (can you imagine?). And you don't EVEN want me to get into what those wacky west coasters are teaching these days. Clearly there is a need for a federal agency - perhaps even a cabinet-level position - to bring standards and uniformity to these provincial variations in protocol. Imagine how confusing it is when you get your undergraduate degree in Utter Submission in Philadelphia, and then move to Seattle for graduate school. Total chaos, I tell you.

Actually, and I hope this won't devastate you, to *you* I am merely a fellow citizen. Sorry. (Sir!)

Ok I pretty much agree with what has been said here, and Ill add, seeking a sub that is a doormat and honestly there is a difference a sub is someone that will give up controll to the one that owns them and a door mat is someone with emotional issues that allows people to take advantage of them... anyway someone that is looking for a doormat to me screams abuser.

And after haveing read his profile well.. I feel for his slave and any others he may take on. I think he should remeber it is quality not quantity and what he is offering for his secent cant possibly be emotionaly healthy!!!  He needs to remeber in order to get the best service from ones slaves you have to take care of them and that means emotionaly to!!

Magik's slave

You'll attrack more flies with honey than with vinegar. Don't let it bother you that someone doesn't want to use your title. If that, however, is important to you, notice those that do while still enjoying those that don't. Don't let someone's hostile attitude bother you either. It's within your power to choose to interact with them or not.

Greetings..~smiles~

There will be some who will agree with what your idea's and thoughts are for being a submissive or a slave Sir..and as you can see from the many posts already..there will be some who do not. While Master doesn't take it to the mass's like this to impose his thoughts..there are alot of similar thoughts regarding these issues. It it generally handled by Master just not associating with those that don't fit his criteria in an attempt to change or alter their own views but focus more time which is pleasureable for him with those that do think more along the same lines.

I am told it causes less ulcers and wrinkles..lol.

Well Wishes

According to his profile, he ia seeking a third, who will even have to beg and service her Master for her food, but at the same time, he has Female Switch checked in his preferences........HUMMMMM .... I wonder what palce a female switch would have in his world as a third???   This guys mentality is something I've seen before, at a few munches which I attended, and I never went back to any of them. His post brought out the usually dormant Dominant side of my personality, and made me think about how much I'd like to find out how dominant he really is !!!!
