Status: offline 		Prompted by a recent question concerning what type of floggers to buy I thought I'd survey the general community. What toys do you currently have in your box of fun and destruction? (BDSM toys.)

I have a flogger. I'm building I swear. I'm actually going to be making a flogger and single tail from an old leather making book. Thankfully enough I have a Dom friend who's willing to train/supervise my making.

And LuckyAlbatross if there's already a topic on this could you link it? Thanks! ^.^

Status: offline 		I consider my "toybox" very incomplete *quirky smile*.... but a partial list would be suede flogger, fur flogger, ropes, clamps, paddles, assorted insertable toys (with and without batteries), blindfold, cuffs

OMG i love floggers! i've made several. i made a couple of Denim ones for a friend not too long ago. They're sooooo cool! i also just made a red courderoy (did i spell that right)  one a couple of weeks ago. It's way rad!! i think the next one i make will be a shoelace flogger ... complete with the tips and all..

Ohhh wow..... I adore floggers too.... and I had never thought of a shoelace flogger or denim or corduroy.....
There's one that's made out of vinyl (the material from waterbeds) that I absolutely adore though!

Our toybox is pretty large, offhand (I may be forgetting some stuff) we have:

- Violet Wand (w/multiple attachments)
- TENS (with an insertable and some pads)
- Lie Detector test
- Tazer
- About fifteen knives
- Surgical stapler and staples
- Twenty something floggers (horsehair, lighted, 4-5 feet long, and short ones)
- Single tail
- Four wooden paddles
- three leather paddles
- two-three leather slappers
- two cuff sets (ankle and wrist cuffs along with collar and leash)
- suspension cuffs
- waterproof cuffs
- Twenty something gags (jennings, bit, ball, inflatable, head trainers)
- Couple of nooses
- five or so butt plugs
- handful of dildos
- several metal handcuffs
- ten hoods (nine of them cloth, one a double leather hood)
- three or four blindfolds
- a bag of different types of rope
- A bunch of sensation toys (a couple of whartenburg wheels, something that looks like a ball and chain with thumbtacks, pebbled gloves, furr mitt one side with the vampire glove, a pair of vampire gloves, fur, etc)

Where are the anti-bacterial disinfectants?  Surely nobody puts 'used' toys back in da bag!  And, I don't mean the stuff ya buy next to the dish soap; I mean hospital grade; the stuff that kills Herpies and Hep and HIV and other serious stuff!  You DO know it's available, right?  In both wipes and liquid form.
 
If this sounds like I pick people off the street to play with...I do not.  However...I do kick tires a time or two before I decide to take the car home for keeps.  It doesn't matter how nice and safe he's been...every girl he's ever been with might not be so careful...or perhaps the men SHE was with. 
 
Nobody mentioned condoms, either...heck, I even bag toys; makes clean-up a lot easier...

Just a note:

Antibacterial Soaps/Detergents The products usually contains triclosan (Chloroxylenol (PCMX), Quaternary Ammonium Chlorides (Quats), or Alcohols are used in some antibacterial soaps) which can damage your leather by sucking out its moisture. Triclosan is also known as Irgasan and Microban. Dishwashing detergents contain fragrances, dyes and preservatives, all which only add unnecessary and possibly harmful substances to your leather. Dishwasing liquids are usually detergents as opposed to soaps. Soaps are made of materials found in nature. Detergents are synthetic (although some of the ingredients are natural). Detergents are made from petroleum products and consist mainly of surfactants, foaming agents and alcohols. Since these chemicals have a disagreeable odour, detergents are usually heavily scented with cheap, synthetic, artificial fragrances.  

Antibacterial Wipes/Sprays/Liquids These are made to kill staph and most bacteria on hard, nonporous surfaces. Leather is porous. Instructions on these wipes/sprays instruct to thoroughly wet the surface and allow surface to remain wet for 10 minutes before use. In addition, although some of these wipes and sprays are targeted to disinfect (when used as directed) up to 99.9% of Staph and Salmonella and also target cold and flu viruses they may not be capable of destroying other viruses. Pre-cleaning soiled surfaces is also necessary to disinfect properly, since science tells us that many types of soils will deactivate disinfectants. (Note: Informed risk when using these to supposedly sanitize and/or sterilize dungeon furniture)

I'll add that I've finally begun work on my "pink toy bag" which at this point is just a pretty pastel pink gym bag with a pink plastic paddle and a pink flogger.  Eventually...

Personally I cannot stand the smell or texture of those anti-bacterial things and have gagged in public places where they have them out for things like concerts.

But I am completely open about the fact that I don't really clean my toys except occasionally to wash them off, and my sex toys are kept specifically for me only.  If someone finds that too icky for them, we use their toys, our own bodies or we don't play.

Yup, I don't like the grocery-store version either; and believe they are so weak anyway...they just grow super-germs.
 
I prefer stuff like: 

Generally speaking, they don't include heavy perfumes and take care of stuff like e-coli, by which I suppose I could contaminate myself...  
 
They're great cleaners to use on various surfaces at public dungeons, too.
