i shave my pubes too, i like that way and have done it for 10 yrs now.  Once you
start doing it regularly, just like shaving your face, no problems.

I have decided i am going to rant.  I have developed an ingrown hair on the edge of my clit.  Against my better judgement I decided to shave my pubic hair as so many Dom's show a preference for it.  I have now decided to state to the next male that tells me to shave " I will shave when you shave your balls"

Firstly, if I were you and did not want to shave down there, I wouldn't make it an issue in my life until I met someone who requested such.  At that point, I would explain the problem that you have and hope you are dealing with a reasonable man who could perhaps compromise on it somehow....like maybe shave some of it and stay away from the clit or perhaps not shave it at all, if the likes that.

I would definately not be telling him what he better do (ie shave his genitalia etc).  I think you will receive more understanding with an explanation than by giving ultimatums.

When i get an ingrown hair it is painful to sit -stand - and walk.  I have to wait for it to get infected enough to either squeeze and bust or just go away.  I have to admit i have only had one once before in that area in my whole life and it was after i had to have a D&C done.

Are you sure it was in ingrown hair?  Maybe you nicked yourself and got a tiny infection?
quote:

Don't you feel it is only a fair exchange as i am tired of getting hair in my mouth when i suck your balls for you.  If i must shave to keep hair out of your mouth then you can too.  Are there any others that agree or disagree with me.  I am not looking to start a disagreement just a friendly discussion.

No, I personally do not feel its a fair exchange, but I kinda like it that way.  If I get a hair in my mouth, I pick it out. lol.

quote:

I have another question for the ladies on this area, maybe i should go to a diff forum for this but what the hell.  Is it possible to not be able to shave due to causing hair to become ingrown.  As both times i have shaved i have had this problem.  I used a Venus shaver with a new blade and a body wash lather was very easy and through.

If you shave daily, you might avoid in-growns.  I shave every single day and don't have problem getting in-growns.  I also noticed that when I first began shaving, there was more irritations etc, but once I was doing it daily for a while, it all stopped.  You may want to try keeping it clean-shaven all the time---don't let stubble grown in.  Do it every single day. And when you shave the inner labia, put a finger over your clit, hold the razor vertical to your labia and shave in an outward direction.   This works quite nicely for the inner 'parts' of the female genitailia.  (Sorry for the graphics)  The pubic area itself is a cinch.  I use the Intuition razor.  Its a triple blade and has the shaving cream built into it and it goes around all the curves and things quite nicely.  All one step. Very easy. Keep in mind that you have to shave in all different directions depending what area you are doing.  I personally shave against the hair growth.  Always make sure there is enough  foam or cream on your skin too.  Whether its from the can or the slimey stuff on the Intuition blade (which is really nice).  If you're pulling that razor around on wet skin without enough of a buffer, you're going to have alot of problems and irritations. And replace the razor often.  Don't use one that you've been using for a while.  As expensive as they are, they're only good for about 12 shaves or so. Good luck!

Get a Brazilian wax instead. Tell the dom you can't shave due to ingrown hairs but you will trim instead or he can contribute to the waxing cost.

Patina...
I truly understand your frustration.  An ingrown hair if not properlytaken care of CAN become so infected as to cause cellulitis.  I have seen it several times in swimmers.  NOT GOOD

I went through many products and shavers trying to find the right, just for me.  I use Melalueca shaving cream.  I shave, not even thoroughly about every other day, much like a man his face and thus it keeps the skin prepared for more shaving and LESS ingrown hair.
I thoughly shave about 2times per week.  Once you start shaving, it is a discipline to keep it up.

I feel very uncomfy with your attitude tho.  I have found it a fantastic priviledge to shave Sir.  He can do it himself...but wants me to.  There are some doms who will NOT shave, I suppose it makes them feel more manly, I dont know.  I do find a shaved pussy a feeling/act of submission.   Not all doms want their girls sahved, some like the all natural, maybe you will find a dom who likes that.
But the retribution/retaliation technique is not an attitude any man wants in a women, esp a submissive.

I have said this in kindness, I hope you understand that and take it as I have said.
graciously, obedient

what works for me is shaving often, using shave gel, then applying Bikini Zone.  The Bikini Zone burns the first few times but I got used to it fairly quick.  Once I had a monster ingrown hair, silly girl that I am I messed with it, ended up going to my Gyn who smited me, told me in the future to "Leave them the hell alone" then instructed me to keep moist hot compresses on it, he suggested using a hair dryer on low setting when coming out of the shower instead of rubbing, wiping dry with a towel.
A friend has major problems when it comes to shaving....so she is having laser treatments for perm. hair removal.

Some sadists like having the hair down there to pull on.
Hurts like a mo, too.

Id not worry too much about formulating a response to what a potential dom might some day instruct you to do. Seems like a waste of energy to me. If you end up with someone who really wants you to shave, and you really want to please him, you'll either do some research and take the time to do it in a manner that minimizes discomfort (unless that's part of why he wants you to do it), or you won't. It's not really a bridge that needs to be crossed today, is it?

i think you might get better response from a prospective Dominant if you put it in terms of shaving being a limit for you because of bad skin reactions. One female slave i knew considered shaving anywhere to be a hard limit for her, because she had extremely sensitive skin and got a rash from everything she tried.
Though as a male (but a submissive one) i have no problems with keeping myself smooth "down there"... makes it look bigger!

Hmmmmmm... an ingrown hair on the edge of your clit?  Nobody found that unusual?  I've never seen a hairy clit.  Are you sure you don't have a Bartholin Cyst or some other kind of...ummmmm...sore?

If I DID have a hairy clit...I think I'd keep shaving, though.

PS ...
If I get an ingrown hair I just take a pair of tweezers and pluck the hair out then rinse the area with alcohol.
I have these really good tweezers that come to a triangle pointed tip. They seem to get the hair without damaging my skin much better.

Ladies,

Always, always, always . . . start from the outside and shave inward, and never in any other direction.  This may sound scarey, but spread your lips with the other hand as you get closer.  Prevents nubs and won't irritate your skin like shaving against the grain of the direction in which the hair naturally grows.  Then when you finish, if you wish, use whatever lotion/oil/etc you prefer as long as you know it doesn't irritate your skin, beforehand.  Regular shaving helps so you don't have to start from scratch.

This is the correct way to shave with a standard, manual, hand held razor.  Try it; it works.

LBO

And I agree about the D/s comments.  It's not all about you.

I was told by a submissive once that she uses Nair to shave because of the ingrown hair issue. It kills the hair folicles and they don't grow back for while. Or so I understand it.

I do agree with others here about your attitude. And this isn't the first post I've read by you in which you're confrontational. If you have a problem with being submissive maybe you should try being a dominant for a while.

I shave because Daddy tells me too.  It's the way he wants me to be, and I want to please him.  If he wanted me to keep my toenails painted bright red, I'd do that too.  I'd prefer not to shave, I think it's annoying, and I don't really understand why so many men prefer it. I can't ever really get it as smooth as I'd like, but I try.  If and when I find myself between partners again, I'll likely stop shaving (though it itches like hell when it grows back in).
Whether he shaves or not is his perogative, I don't really care one way or the other, though I don't particularly enjoy hair in my mouth.
If it's a limit for you, state it as such and say why.  Otherwise, consider other methods of hair removal.  And consider a nicer way to state your dislike of shaving.  A sub doesn't have to submit to everyone, but if it's someone you want to play with, you want to be a great deal politer than that.

Patina you seem to keep getting yourself into issues by trying to please other men and deciding whether to do what they want or not.

Granted, an ingrown hair can happen any time you shave and it sucks, but seriously, you shaved because a lot of guys show a preference for it?  Are you going to put yourself out on a first date just because a lot of guys prefer that, too?  I've seen a consistent lack of self respect and holding to your own personal standards from you lately and it is troublesome.

Now, on the ingrowns, almost everyone gets them, specially when they shave their pubic area.  Some people are more prone than others.  I've been shaving for years, have all the techniques and tried all the possibilities- and I generally get at least two ingrowns every time.  It's also why I can't shave more than once a week or my pubic area starts to resemble hamburger which isn't really attractive to anyone.

You can try alcohol and lotion, you can try different shaving methods, you can try saunas and skirts, but in the end, your body just might get an infected follicle, or an ingrown and you'll deal with it,

Just make sure you're doing it for the right reasons.

There are follicles on the inside of the labia and around the clit as well and they can become infected.

I find shaving quite difficult as i have a scar around five inches long on my bikini line. I have no feeling for about an inch around the whole scar due to nerve damage so cannot feel the pressure i am using to shave etc. I have to be very careful and really watch what i'm doing. I personally find it a lot easier to just go get waxed or use a hair removal cream in between wax appointments. Always a way round these things

Greetings,

i can so not see me telling a Master or Dom He must shave in order for me to. Personally i keep myself shaved because after doing it for so long it is uncomfortable not to. Well i say shave but use Nair once a week (do not leave on longer than 5 minutes or it starts to burn), with the Nair you don't have razor stubble and i have not had problems with ingrown hair. Plus there is the fact that being a BBW it is easier using Nair than trying to be an acrobatic and get everything good with a razor.

I too could never see telling my Sir I would not do something. To sit down and calmly explain the why of why I don't want to do something or the issues I am having with it is one thing. But in the end if I wish to continue to serve him his word is final.

Now for the shaving thing. I too use to have really bad issues with ingrown hairs and razor rash. For that area I use bikini zone shave gel, a fresh razor ,I shave in all directions. Afterwards I would use a antiseptic to wash the area. Believe it or not Listerine mouth wash works wonderful and is an antiseptic. Then I would put body lotion on. I no longer have the issues with really bad razor rash and rarely do I get an in grown hair. In the house that I serve we are required to shave on Tue, Thur and Sat. Sometimes with only a day in between I will break out more so when I know that I will be playing in public on a certain day I have asked for and have been granted permission to skip a shave day so that I can be really smooth.

Maybe you can "compromise" because you don't get along with shaving....closely cropped maybe...?????

I'm not a big fan of pubic hair but a closely cropped muff is very tolerable. I would think any reasonable Dom would understand your problem and bend abit??? I've been keeping my C/B's shaved for 5-6yrs now and can't imagine ever going back natural......

never got into the notion of shaving myself however i do keep myself trimmed every 2 weeks with a battery operated trimmer. i do agree with you about hairy balls on Doms - yuck! i don't like having hair caught between my teeth or i'll be coughing up hairballs like a cat.
