Today I went out w/ a friend and seen the movie "The Hills Have Eyes 2" and it was great...omg that movie was gruesome and I loved every minute of it...kinda got me in the mood to watch some scary movies again--- can you guys recommend some horror flicks that perhaps I haven't seen? something a bit on the gruesome/ slasher side.....thanks

The Grudge 1-2, Stay Alive, Silent Hill, Hostel, Slither, The Decent, The Cave, Dark Wolf (with Kane Hodder - the most famous Jason of Friday The 13th), Leeches, 2001 Maniacs, Cabin Fever, and House Of Wax...just to name a few

I was never crazy about horror movies because they seem so fake. I liked suspense type movies like Deliverance that could actually be true, they are more believable, and just as scarry.

salvage was kind of gruesom, but I also thought it was stupid and a waste of time.

eraserhead is the greatest... saw, saw 2, hostel( oh my fucking god that is sooooo sick i love it) and that recent texas chainsaw prequel...only movie i ever saw that i felt physically sick during( the part where his face is cut off and u see the sinews) damn that was realistic...well i guess it was i neva saw anyones face sliced off... that one has some great torture and fantasy scene stuff

Devil's Rejects, the sequel to House of a Thousand Corpses by Rob Zombie. House of a Thousand Corpses was kinda lame, but is good for getting the background of the demented family that goes on a killing spree. i want to grow up to be Mother Firefly, that bitch has guts.

The only movies that really ever had a 'scary' affect on me are the supernatural ones that are LOOSLEY (and even that is being quite diplomatic) based on 'true' event(s), 'The Exorcist' and the 'Exorcism of Emily Rose' being the scariest, imo. Silent Hill was a good movie, but not scary, just aesthetically pleasing effects, the same goes for the Grudge movies all though even those have some hilarious moments that I find myself being shushed in the movie theatres for cackling at. I get pretty bored by most slasher films, except the funny ones....Motel Hell.........snickers......that's a great one! The Rob Zombie movies are wonderfully funny as well. Another favorite was the movie with the hellbunny, damn, it's on the tip of my tongue but can't remember the name?[sm=banghead.gif] Although I am a huge David Lynch fan, I never thought Erasurehead was all that scary. Love the movie though! ( Also a big fan of John Waters). Luci

Cabin Fever, any 3 Saw movies, Hostel (unrated version is better), Sublimed (unrated version), Dawn of the Dead (remake - Director/unrated version), The Omen (remake is very good), Shaun of the Dead (funny and scary), 28 Days Later

Hellraiser 1,2 &3. Day of The Animals, Wolfen, Nightmare On Elm Street (all) are few of my favs. Good psychological thriller is When a Stranger Calls (the original) and The Stepfather.
