So do you ever post something in your profile fully knowing you have no desire to do or explore it with the intent of luring new dating material by looking like something you really are not?

no. i can't see what would be the point. If one claims to be something that they aren't it will no doubt bite them on the ass in time. i guess those that aren't seeking a LTR could pull it off but then again i don't see the point

Then are you not being deceptive from the very beginning?  Or at best playing mind games?

No, I would not.  I took great care to tell who I am and what I'd like to find here; what would be the point in making stuff up?  Enough time gets wasted as it is; by men who contact me with stories of 'relationship' who have no intent on spending the time to allow that to come to be.

Sometimes I think far too many people think this online-place is to make up stuff as ya go along.  <sigh>  I just don't see the point.

No but I heard a rumor that some people post questions hoping that some newbie will make a mistake and imagine them wise instead of recognizing them for what they really are.

Nope, but then again... I'm not looking.

Are you speaking of the BDSM-type stuff? Or just stuff in general?

I don't have any BDSM-type stuff listed in my interests section at all. It does cut down on the number of "come on" type messages for me.

Then again perhaps they never get to the point of meeting..or if they do it never gets to that point hoping that by their actions they can change the dom's mind.

For some that is all they ever wanted to do.

For some that is.

Yes I remeber the prewritten into bit I use to send to prospectives..back then it was a matter of numbers...like the lottery...

Now it seems many do the same so the thing to do is the more personable approach.

Many have no intention of conveying any f their written intentions.

Trying to out fox the dumb dom..yes it is pretty recognizable ploy.

Sometimes a way of watching them and predicting their next move passes the time instead of watching the paint dry.

And knowing you crappy you simply wouldn't embellish or fabricate any of those rumours yourself would you in guise of being clever now would you?

See, I personally think it would make the message boards more interesting if everybody took everything out of their profile. <g>

Then we'd have no choice but to try and figure each other out, lol. No using profiles as a buffer.. no peeking to guess a person's intention... no interest list as a shortcut to somebody's personality!

Heee!
