So do you ever post something in your profile fully knowing you have no desire to do or explore it with the intent of luring new dating material by looking like something you really are not?

Absolutely not. Not only is that annoying to other people, but it also does me a disservice as well. By stating I have an interest in something when that's not the truth, I don't get what I want/need and the other person just gets frustrated. Doesn't seem worth it to me. It's a lose/lose situation.

No, what would be the point?  People can change likes and dislikes, and not update their profiles.... that has happened to me before.

Greetings,
It is funny because i was looking at a couple of profiles today of people i know and realized they  had done just this. What i don't understand is don't they realize once they meet someone and the person realized they were lied to then there will be no trust there. How can i turn my life and safety over to someone i can not trust?

No, I wouldn't. I don't like it when people lie to me...so why would I put something in my profile that's a lie?

Interesting topic, Ross.
I have talked to many on here that post activities that they really
don't seem to have interest in doing.
Many post certain activities to appeal to a wider audience.

Absolutely not!  I really can't understand why someone would do that.  If someone does eventually become involved with him or her, they will find out eventually that they are a fraud.  There is no winning in that situation.

No, that would defeat the point of the profile.
