Dear MissSCD, Ladies and Gentlemen;
In Master Taino's Training Academy there are certificates given out, stating they have completed the weekend training for slave or Master.
At one time, if memory serves me correctly, Black Rose Organization had given out certificates when individuals passed their classes for CPR or Dungeon Monitors.
I will say though, as I am getting older and people are dying around me at different ages for different reasons; all the way from age to auto accidents and the like; it isn't impossible to loose a good many references.
I have personally introduced some of my old connections to current connections as to keep the line going, as far as references go. If push comes to shove, the people I introduced those who invested me with leather and the title of Master years prior to involving myself with Black Rose and before that PEP DC; will be able to recall meeting those who were a part of my history in the lifestyle. Now, some of those old connections have passed on. Current connections that can remember 'the war stories' per se still exist. But, it isn't impossible that they could all be wiped out in one swipe, such as in a crash or something.
That said, there will be some who create a grand story indeed. I've seen these people move on and get real, dropping their phony connections and by their own merit become creditable. Some are big names now but, I remember when they were full of bull pies. And, I still maintain it is largely due to the way novices and 'wanting to be' are treated, which forces people to do things just to be accepted and given a chance.
Training Certificates can be 'created' as easily as phony creditials. With computers and graphic programs-- amazing with PCs can do.
The summary of concern I do have is, that no matter the paper trail of certificates, creditials and who knows who and who knows what-- The main focus should just be on individuals themselves and judge for yourselves. Use your gut instincts. Being 'yourself' is priceless. Being 'yourself' is not how many awards you have, how many groups you belong to or have formed and or how many people you know. Its being yourself which is the true measure of quality. As we can see in Congressional politics -- one can have creditials up the place where the sun never shines but, its the person who either is honest or not to themselves that reveal their true natures. I much rather have a pauper who is humble and true to their nature, then a rich man who is not true to their nature and boasts about their arm length of certificates, awards and creditials.
Just some thoughts.
