As far as I know... alcohol, crack and weed are the problem areas in the lower income neighborhoods here.

Meth and perscription drugs are more seen in the "better neighborhoods".

I cannot stress enough the dangers of perscription drug abuse. Painkillers and anti-anxiety meds ( valium, xanax, etc) are passed around like candy among the high-schoolers here. It's all to easy to pop a pill or two with some Jack Daniels and never wake up. It's happened way too many times around here.

I've actually known parents who nonchalantly hand over some of their own valium to their teens. Like it was aspirin or something. People tend to forget that just these are addictive and physically damaging chemicals. The casual way these drugs are handled is just frightening.

I have a phychological addiction to sex, rock and roll and fast motorcycles.  I have spent copious quantities of money, time and effort into acquiring these addictions.  I have no wish to loose these addictions.  That is the nature of phychological addiction.  Are you saying that we should not do those things that make us feel good?  Somehow I have this picture in my mind of a domme approaching with a strap-on in her hand and me saying no no that just feels tooo good I am becomming phychologically addicted to it so we are going to have to stop doing that.

From my conversations with those in law enforcement I would say here in Iowa meth is the biggest problem. Alchohol abuse will always be a problem. Interestingly enough I just found out that heroin is making a big comeback here also. I had no idea. The things I learn when a thread makes me ask questions of those in the know.

Meth is really bad here and so is pot, alcohol is too. But the worst is Meth. But now we have a sheriff worth a shit to get rid of all the drug dealers so maybe in a few years I can say nothing here except Alcohol. Probably not, but one can hope right?
