I've heard it over and over: "men are superior", "women should have all the power".

So the point of this thread: Does it bother you as much to see these statements, or one insulting submissives of either gender because they submit, as it does to see someone insulted for their race?

Thank you for your time in reading and responding.

i dont see a problem with it. for so many people, this is the basis of their devotion. i have nto read the replies yet, so sorry if this is already stated

but it is this frame of mind [even for me, yes i believe in natural order and the fact that men are in fact superior to woman] it is this thought process hat helps me to develop my true humble nature and nurture the natural feelings of our primal instincts.

not to mention the many ways people can get off on this intself: primal instinct kink, humiliation, degradation, supremacy ... these are all embraced forms of pleasure within our community and when you begin to examine the way in which it is executed .. well why dont you also ask:

why do you nasty sluts let Him pee on you
how can you let Them make you sleep outside in the rain
how do you let Him beat you
why do you brand yourself live a bovine
why do you wear a collar like a dog
who are you to think that i would embrace that?

for me it boils down to, how do i feel most comfortable?

at the foot of men? hell yes
could i ever let a man be at my feet? hell no. and as a woman it would be my place to inform him of such. yes i believe his place is wrong.

am i going to let that interfere with my interactions with this fellow? hell NO. i am NO bigot. i respect MAN as a whole [as in the race of man]. i will not let my personal opinions interfere with my day to day interactions. i like to think i have SOME composure.

if he wants to hear about this, yes i will feel free to tell him all about mans superiority over woman and why i believe it is not my right, but my need to serve the superior one, my Man.

honkie, out.

I believe the difference between believing you are inferior to all men and believing that all women are inferior is that you take your belief and place it on others.

I am not inferior to any man. You may be, but I am not.

just because i view Him as superior, that does not make me less of a person.

recognizing His superior strength, intelligence, charisma, multiple talents/skills, and extroverted personality does not mean i do not posses these things. it does not mean that because His are more, and better even, does NOT make me insignificant OR worthless. it just means: this is why i worship Him. which for me is a way of acknowledging His supreme being. if i did not agree with the ways of Man/woman i would never be able to connect on the level of M/s that i do. i embrace Mans superiority over me. its is simple law of nature IMO.

this does not equal respect. a man can be superior to me on many levels, but if He cannot earn respect, then He does not deserve it. with the superiority comes with it a recognition of the matter and a responsibility to be true to Yourself and Your position. it is a Mans responsibility to ensure that a woman will view Him as superior by demonstrating the every day the things that make Him such.

ignorant, rude, chauvinistic men are not superior, they are pigs.

i do not wish to impose my views as only true way and have never portrayed them as such.

If someone is superior to you, then you are inferior to them and therefore less then them. I have no problem with someone choosing to their life this way. I only get annoyed when people do their views and impose on others (which you may not do but others do). It is a lifestyle that is clearly not for me and clearly not for my dominant.

However, it does sicken me just as much to see a person called worthless because of their BDSM orientation as it would to see a black person called worthless because of their color. I do not believe that sexism, in either direction, is any better then racism and I also believe that this overt sexism serves as a barrier towards understanding from our non-BDSM friends and outside world.

By the way, chauvinistic is exactly what you just discribed.

Chauvinistic:

1.
of or relating to persons convinced of the superiority of their own gender or kind

2.
fanatically patriotic

At least according to dictionary.com anyway. I'd pull out of my copy of webster, but I can't seem to find it! [:)]

i just came back to add something, and you already replied! lol!!

yes, i was going to add, i did more thinking on how exactly you were posing the question. [confession] i have a habit about making things about me. heh. humle, yet hendoistic/narcisstic/misanthrope complex, i will admit here. WTF?

"I only get annoyed when people do their views and impose on others"

it dawned on me, you were talking about the people imposing their way as the right/only way [guess i missed that]

and well, yea it kinda suck b/c people should be able to hold an opinion of their own, but what if this outlook is more of a kink than a life opinion type thing? what if they are just really good at what the do? what if that person desires to be called worthless? i mean we certinaly have developed the niche out there to be filled.

which was the part i described correct as chauvinistic? was i unknowingly speaking in circles, or do something right? lol

i do not think a truely superior man would ever claim to be. Mine does not; and to be honest, couldnt tell you if He agrees with me on this [M/w]

I entirely understand wanting to be called worthless. It's one of my kinks. Valyraen and I engage in humilation frequently. However, I am accutely aware that I am not worthless. If I was, he wouldn't be wasting his time on me.
