My question was more of: "Why aren't there more Domme's?" Male subs seem to be more than available.. it would make finding a partner, as a Domme, relatively easy, and allow for a high degree of selectivity. Given this, there must be some reason for the lack of Domme's. I want to know what this reason is.

I think this number may have been confused with something else. I do know that there are 20 times as many male masochists as there are female ones, but I am not aware of any hard numbers on the D/s side of things. Does that book you mentioned have a citation for this figure?
