Hi everyone. I have a question and it seems to me this is the best place to get it answered. I respectfully thank everyone in advance for your suggestions. My problem is this. I have met a Daddy dom and things seem to be going really well. I just melt when he calls me little one or little girl. But is there anything else I can call him (or he can refer to himself as) instead of Daddy? It sort of brings things to a halt for me because it gives me a visual of my own Dad whe he says it (can I just say, ewwwww?) Thanks again for your suggestions..

Personally for me, Daddy is Daddy and if i call him anything else (including his name) it feels weird. i never called my real father Daddy, so luckily i'm not running into that issue. i think what your asking for is just some ideas. But really what ever works best for both of you is acceptable. It doesn't even have to be a fatherly term such as Dad, Pa, Father, etc. It could be Sir or Master, it could be anything really. you just need to find a term that works and feels right for both of you. Sir or Master is fine. But He cannot refer to Himself in the third person in that manner.. I am looking for ideas and if anyone else has run into this issue?

i can understand where you're coming from. my Master and i have some of the aspects in our dynamic that are often associated with the 'Daddy' theme but we don't define our dynamic that way partly for the reasons you suggest. i call Him Master. how about if you call yours Sir? actually that was how i usually addressed my own father. but really you should ask Him how he would like to be addressed and mention your feelings about calling Him Daddy. as you are asking for suggestions though so here are some more: teacher, mentor, wiseone, boss, leader, captain, lord god almighty (well that one may be going a bit too far) but maybe just lord. good luck!

Daddy is only known as Daddy to me. unless i'm getting a stern lecture or the mood suits Him then He's called Sir but He doesn't like the title Master. when calling his office, it's Dr. Daddy's last name which at times feels very foreign to say especially if one of His secretaries answers the phone. i feel Daddy is a term of endearment and respect ...a way to show my love for my DaddyDom though i haven't called my real father Daddy in a very long time - now he's just Dad. you could always try Papa or Papi. sorry if i wasn't might help in your search.

How about trying the same thing in another language? Like calling him "Papi" or something.

When I identified as a switch, I had a Daddydom and I called him Daddy, but also Mister... something about "Master" made me gag.

I can certainly understand your quandry...I was soooo not into calling Him Daddy, at first. It took a little while, but now I'm comfy...actually, I hardly call Him Daddy, unless I'm asking permission for something. Most of the time I call Him Daddy Bear. No clue why...just a nick name. Maybe something like Daddy Bear to differentiate from just the "Daddy" part. Just an idea...although, I like the "Papi" one better.
