Prompted by thoughts on another topic,I wondered what it must be like for the fairer sex on this site.My thoughts,women being what most are after must come in for a fair amount of flak from all sorts here,a lot of it unwanted and I genuinely feel for them.

But,a question,purely as a point of interest,to those women here,orientation irrelevant;from the point of logging in to the point of logging out on average how many 'hits' do you get just by being online(that is not responding to another's profile).And,on average how many of those hits are unwanted,lewd or distasteful?

Anyone who thinks females are the fairer sex are either very clueless or very well fooled.

Secondly, what do you mean by "hits"?

I get a fair amount of attention- I'd say 90% of which is immediately what I consider dork material.

Fairer sex,my thoughts,I love women and they are prettier.Hits,mail received probably would be a better description.

i have anywhere from 10-30 people look at me while i am logged on. i average 5 msgs from strangers, and upwards of 30 msgs from ppl i "know" when they see me logged on.

I get around 5-7 emails a day. Some are from friends and some are from wankers.

Right now I have 30 people viewing me.

This is not strickly a "girl" thing. I know many males here that get the same amount if not more.

Hmmmm, I was curious reading mixilicous and drawntothedarks banter...so, I went to check my own stats...(never really noticed)..

56 hits today thus far reading full profile.

and I have 6 pages of emails from strangers in 5 days...

I can say none have been rude though..

Now what do you do with this information? Is there a "trawling" census?

Purely interest,it is good to know how males affect you females on here.I expect there is no chance of it,but maybe we could learn from it in an ideal world.

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH....how males affect women? ~wow~ that could be a long list for me..I sure wouldn't want to hijack the censes though

By the way you didnt differentiate between male 'hits' and female "hits"....

Then again I do not currently have a photo up, and I think being over a certain age
somewhat puts one out of the search preferences of many.

Well let's see, I just went back to seeking mode on Sunday or Monday and between the guys who....

want to cut off my hair
chain me naked in their yard
move to Sweden to be a sex slave
commit to them on the first email
who want to know why I'm no longer owned
ask me 3 times if I like some band I've never heard of
if my 130lb Akita will eat their domly asses if they touch me

and my current favorite - the guy who said there was no way my pictures were of a 44 year old woman (they were just taken in November) because women my age don't look this good.

I have gone through about 30 aspirins and have a bruise on my head from banging it against my laptop.

And that's just a drop in the bucket.

Aneirin, I imagine it must be even more of a nuisance (unless they enjoy the attention) to the fairer of the fairer sex.

I usually recieve 5 or 6 messages from new contacts daily and maybe a few notes from people I already know. I often wonder if people read the profile before responding though... It amazes me how many people contact me who are blatenly ruled out in my profile description. I will admit, it's common that I don't respond to people who should have read they were not a possible match for me however, sometimes I just cant resist the response - "Did you READ my profile before you responded?". Not to be misunderstood, often people who aren't matches respond in an appropriate manner - stating they just wanted to say hi, or complement the profile and that they read it and realise they aren't a good match.
