I just tell people who send me one-liners 'Put a little more thought into the message than one sentence, and you might get a more thoughtful response.' If they reply with something more than 'I saw your profile; let's talk,' and it's obvious they are at least -trying-, if they had any questions, I try to answer them in full, and if they tell me about themselves, I will tell them about myself. If they don't respond back, they weren't worth it. I have had many people say 'Wow, I didn't expect such a thought-out response' after actually sending me a good-length message (a paragraph, which is at least 3 sentences), and often the long messages are a reward for their trying again after sending a one-liner. I reward them for trying, and ignore them if they send another one-liner, or don't reply at all. Just my thoughts, Jewel
