I am confused on how to handle the who viewing me section. Do I just ignore those who viewed me or do I send them a message? I kinda felt like if they had viewed me and did not contact me then i am being pushy by contacting them. But on the other hand the guys here seem to wait and let us gals make the first moves. One other obseration i have noticed to is that the only guys who seem to participate in the forums are Masters who have had slaves for several years and are secure in their domination. I would appreciate any feed back on these observations. patina

There's no obligation to do anything. It's kind of like being at the mall. If you notice someone checking you out, you might check them out in return. If you like what you see, then you talk to them. If you don't, then you move along.

just because they took a peek... doesn't mean they are interested... but just because they didn't send noted doesn't mean they are not interested either. It's a crap shoot no matter how you cut. added thought.... You should consider if the person is compatiable to you from your prespective. almost 50 percent of those that view me are male.. being split between Dominant and submissive. of the Females that view me about 30 percent are Dominant. That is a huge percentage of those that view me that are not compatiable to me. Then the few percent left over.... well it's pretty easy to see that most if not all are not compatiable either. I am finding some are just checking out the profile for their own thoughts that don't neccessarily include any intentions towards me.

I wish CM would remove it. I feel it is an invasion of privacy on both parties invovled. I don't want someone to know if I am viewing them, and I am sure they do not want to know that I know they are viewing me. Regards, MissSCD

I think it's a bad idea and it causes some people who would otherwise view a profile to possibly not view it because they do not wish for the person who they are viewing to know they are viewing them..Get all that? lol

hi We tend to have a look at a profile because they say something that interests or intrigues us. We are not expecting them to respond with mail but, of course, if they want to email us we will always reply. We have noted those that look at our profile and its all cool. Our profile is quite clear as to why we are here and we have nothing to hide[:)] hugs C & c

Hello patina, My experience with the view me section is that some will look at the profile to gain a better insight on something posted on the forums, just taking a look, of course a variety of reasons. Many will view without any intention of contact. This is the web. I personally would not find intitiating contact pushy, given that I have read thier profile, understand thier preferences, and am not making any assumptions as to the reason that someone viewed my profile. As to the expereinces of those on the forums, I really do not find it exclusive to any level of involvement from what I have seen here.

I don't like it for this simple reason ... if I see a certain post by someone that I find odd, intriguing, disguting, etc ... it sometimes leads me to be curious about their profile and what they have to say ... so I will go and check it out ... out of sheer curiousity, nothing more. I will then get a message back from them ... detailing why I should start a relationship with them, or them sending me nude photos, or even inquiries from them as to why I would read their profile when I am not what they are looking for :\ ... so it annoys me when I am just curious and not looking to marry them.

You do nothing. It may be you viewed them first, they viewed you because of something you wrote on the boards or you just happened to be someone next of those online. It means nothing and you should not worry, if they are interested a man will mail you.

Hello, Patina: I enjoy looking at profiles and especially enjoy checking out a profile if the individual wrote a funny, interesting, intelligent post. Ah, okay, I usually look at everyone's profile because its fun to see what is or isn't there. I definitely agree with Knight of Mists that it is a crap shoot about whether or not more than a passing interest is intended or implied by giving a profile a look. With me, its a no. (That needed to be said since I plan on looking at your profile next.) But why not take selfbnd411's advice...just click away and send a note if you like what you see. All they can do is start up a conversation, or not respond...or block you...or start a new post about how people are always sending them unwanted email now that the dang "who is viewing me" feature is in effect. [:D] But you will have a list, and can keep right on going. Best wishes, Christine

hello patina and greetings to everyone else as well how to handle the "who is viewing " hmmmmmm ok well the only thing I am able to say is what I do personally ..I look at the names and IF I find interest in the name then I will take a look at their profile on the main profile page typing their name in and IF I then find further interest I view their profile...and on the RARE occasion I find further interest I'll send an introductory email.. personally I kind of like the service ..others have their own opinions to Me it is just another part of the cm service here ....good, bad or indifferent it is a part of the service..if ya like it then I would say use it ....if ya don't like it then I'd say just ignore the tab that opens it .. there again this is just My opinion and I might be mistaken..

I like the "whos viewing me", for a variety of reasons and by whom is using it. I'd try to explain possible way, but it gets more than a bit convoluted no matter how simple I try to make it in my head. At the very least, It does let one know that in fact, at least someone found you interesting enough on the search page to take a closer look into your actually profile. It does let you know that even when there is a long dry spell of no contact with anyone, that theres at least something there, that your not in fact dead or completely unattractive to everyone. Although how someone may be interested enough to look might be completely confusing. If all else, it gives you someone to ask "Can you give me some feedback on my profile? Do i need a better pic? Do I need to explain something a bit more? Is there something obvious I missed and I just can't see it?" All valid questions, and I can't imagine someone taking offense at something so..... dunno, non-personal?

I like knowing who is viewing me, and I don't mind if people see me. Sometimes I don't want to initiate contact, but if I've viewed them then they can make the contact if they are interested.

I'd say it's more about curiosity than looking for a prospective partner, but that's probably a case of assuming everyone looks for the same reasons I do.

fast reply If people are that concerned about being seen viewing profiles and would rather do that privately, then set up an account for just that purpose. Problem solved. To the OP...don't overthink something that should be simple. If someone looked at your profile and you like what you see in theirs, then contact them. On the flip side...if you look at someones and they see that you've viewed them and they like what they see in yours then they'll contact you.

I try very hard not to overthink the fact that my profile has been viewed. Sometimes I'll go take a peek at the names and if something catches my eye, I'll go check it out. I have not noticed any change in the amount of mail I recieve, ect. So it's not really an issue for me.
