Hey I hate to brake the news, but I am no Brad Pitt, and my pictures are proof. By the way is Barbie a Dom or Sub ?

MuseofGrace -> RE: OK I get it... you are not a "Barbie" (4/14/2007 7:55:08 PM)

Although I am definitely not built like a supermodel; I am physically fit. What irked me with the last so-called Dom was how he appreciated my physical fitness; yet failed to understand or respect the lifestyle I live that is necessary to maintain it.  He expected me to come home from work and center my life around him--to drop my usual fitness routine.  Also, he expected HUGE calorie-laden meals served; which made it all the more difficult for me to stay on my own reasonable diet.

To stay at the fitness level that I am happiest with, I need to get my 1-1/2 hr workouts in (that includes commute time) and eat healthy.  I find that the older I get, the harder I have to work at keeping in the same kind of shape I was 10 yrs ago.  Of course, this guy did NOT take care of himself.  He abided by no healthy diet or exercise regimen.  Needless to say, that did not last long.  Our lifestyles simply did not match--among many other things.

My point is if you want a physically fit partner; understand and respect that there is a healthy lifestyle behind it that requires hard work and committment.  If you can't be a partner that supports that, then you should reconsider what you seek.

Well... I get about 5 or 6 emails and IMs every day or so from guys telling me I am fat and that no "Master" would want me because I'm not fit

There are a lot of "Dom/Tops" who want to find a submissive woman and feed her until she hits 200, 300, 400 and above. They are called feeders.

As is the case with most then, there is an opposite to that...

Doms/Tops who want to take a large woman and take the weight off.

Then there are Doms who are happy with a person because of who they are within not caring of weight or looks....

Then there are Doms who desire a sub who CAN manage their health whether truly possible or not (making many not right for them)....

There are so many people out there......

I still am not a barbie nor do I wish to be for someone who would desire me to be. :)

Well then....

Why all the bitching and bemoaning the point that one is "not a barbie". Why are women offended by profiles from men who exclude overweight or obese women from there search?

Quivver -> RE: OK I get it... you are not a "Barbie" (4/15/2007 8:42:47 AM)

oh for the love of @#$! ...
bitching and bemoaning about overweight and or obese is the reason some add they are not BARBIE.
everyone has their own idea of what is and is not overweight and or obese!
Sigh...................

oh goodness for gracious sake! what more reasonable answer are you looking for?

personally, i would snub any Dom looking for that superfacial, supermodel type in a submissive because it shows they are merely interested in beauty and looks and not what matters the most - what the person is like inside. plus if her beauty fades and she gains an ounce, she'll have the undaunting task of keeping up her appearance so her Dom won't dump and trade her in for someone new and fresh.

then again, i suppose you've never on the receiving end of a submissive dismissing you because of your size.

You would be wrong.

But then I am not "in your face, you must not be a real sub if you don't accecpt me the way I am"

My OP asked why is it so often used as an "in your face challange"?

MasterofDiscipli -> RE: OK I get it... you are not a "Barbie" (4/15/2007 9:16:18 AM)

I have known a lot of real men in my life. Not phoney internet make believe puffed up profile males but most normal everyday guys. And to a one, I can never recall one saying "Man, I'd like to tag a Barbie?"  Just about every man I have ever met likes their women with curves.

So why do women use the line "I am not a Barbie" like it is some kind of in your face challange?

Actually FatDomDaddy - I prefer my women slender, long legged and with small boobs (puffy nipples and really long hair are a bonus). But what really turns me on is a woman with an active mind - who uses it and has wit, intelligence, makes me laugh.... all of that gets top marks and body type comes second. The only thing I really had an issue with is when she's very, very heavy (200lb +)

And I've always presumed that "I am not a Barbie" meant that the woman wasn't just a plastic (probably enhanced) bimbo.

MistressDoMe -> RE: OK I get it... you are not a "Barbie" (4/15/2007 9:19:35 AM)

Hello FatDom, I am not a Barbie.
: )

BOUNTYHUNTER -> RE: OK I get it... you are not a "Barbie" (4/15/2007 9:22:28 AM)

"danger curves ahead"I don't know about the rest of you who adore the female body but when I am running a hand along a woman body I want to feel curves, not a bony little thang,I don't want to have to flip the sheets to find my woman,as always just the views of this ol" MASTER

FemaleSLAVESonly -> RE: OK I get it... you are not a "Barbie" (4/15/2007 9:30:34 AM)

LOL thanks for the link Troll. I always knew Barbie was a prostitute. LMAO

sambamanslilgirl -> RE: OK I get it... you are not a "Barbie" (4/15/2007 9:35:36 AM)

i don't see how the many ways most of us have answered your original query hasn't clicked inside your head.  it's not a challenge ...it's merely a statement to all those so-called "doms" and  "masters" who discriminate against those who are my size. it's NOT in no way shape or form about being a plastic, bubble-head bimbo - it's how you in the male society define what is and not beautiful in your eyes ....what is and not a twue submissive. if she's overweight, fat etc, then she cannot be a twue submissive ...if she's small and has the perfect weight and boob size, she's a twue submissive because in that mindset from a dom - a big woman has nothing to offer and BDSM isn't for women like me.  what a bunch of ludicrous and chauvanistic thinking.

there have been  countless threads about why there are so many fat submissives in BDSM - perhaps you should do a search and read the many responses.

does that finally answer your question?

LadyPact -> RE: OK I get it... you are not a "Barbie" (4/15/2007 9:45:37 AM)

Actually, on My profile on another site, that very thing is included.  I am not Barbie.  If that is what you're looking for, try Toys R Us.  The reason I do is because I want to be accurate in describing My physical appearance.  I'm not a tall, blonde, swimsuit model, with breasts large enough to cause Me back problems by the time I hit 45.  I'm actually 5'2" and the last pair of jeans I bought was a size 6 (by the way, that's in the other profile, too).  I just want people to know what to expect when they meet Me.

For the record, I happen to think Barbie would be a Domme.  After all, they don't call it Ken's World.

LOL

Well this is from the "Barbie Song" by Aqua[:D]

quote:

I'm a blond bimbo girl, in the fantasy world
Dress me up, make it tight, I'm your dolly
You're my doll, rock'n'roll, feel the glamour in pink,
kiss me here, touch me there, hanky panky...
You can touch, you can play, if you say: "I'm always yours"

Make me walk, make me talk, do whatever you please
I can act like a star, I can beg on my knees
Come jump in, bimbo friend, let us do it again,
hit the town, fool around, let's go party
You can touch, you can play, if you say: "I'm always yours"
You can touch, you can play, if you say: "I'm always yours"

I'm a barbie girl, in the barbie world
Life in plastic, it's fantastic!
you can brush my hair, undress me everywhere
Imagination, life is your creation

Edited to add, this song would indicate that Barbie is twuly a submissive... Ha Ha

Discriminate???

Really?

Explain to me exactly how following "what the heart wants" is discrimination?

That statement is a perfect example of the "It's their fault not mine mentality" And it is an obvious slam at Dom/Top Men in general.

Seriously.... what woman on this site is a Barbie???

NO ONE!

But what if there were? Why would it bother you if men responded to them overwhelmly?

And here is another double standard come to light, not from this poster but from the thread in general... Women can have their idealized Dom in mind but when Men have their idealized Sub in mind it is discriminatory!

I doubt any Dom on this site would want a "Barbie" for his submissive.

Vendaval -> RE: OK I get it... you are not a "Barbie" (4/15/2007 11:57:45 AM)

I am calling "PINK" here I tell ya!  Now that silly chorus is stuck in my
head!  julia, are you feeling a bit sadistic today?  [8D]
