sophia...
what i stated was that when "Single" people seek out only married or attached people, there is usually a reason behind why they don't want someone who single. I know lots of couples that are married and openly have a dom or domme. I think that is wonderful. And yes they can be very heartfelt connections. My statement was more directed at the OP and why he prefers married women...i hope that cleared that up.

I agree there.

In my case it was the opposite, he fell in love but i didn't.  He was very hurt when i left him, to the point of stalking me,  but the most hurt by it was Hubby.  Thank goodness everything worked out well for us in the end.

Edited to add: for those who say "once a cheater, always a cheater"---no way in this case, don't want to go through that again.

Concerning what the other young lady said about there being moral absolutes prohibiting the use of children and animals...who is she to "cherry pick" which moral absolutes have to be followed by all people?  If there is not a moral absolute that says that cheating is wrong then there is also no moral abosolute that says that rape is wrong or pedofilian is wrong or beastiality.  You can't pick and choose.  If some betrayal is appropriate then ALL BETRAYAL IS APPROPRIATE.
It is an amazingly simple concept; sorry if it hurts certain people's feelings.

Whatever works for you, hun.  I think if you asked people what was worse, rape or cheating, you'd probably get the answer of rape.  But maybe that is my point of view.  I do try to be open to what other people believe (and I am here, I understand your point of view, and glad that you have it), but I hope they share the same courtesy.  Don't worry, you haven't hurt my feelings (not easily done here on the boards), we're simply having an interesting discussion.  I think because other people get emotionally involved in the discussion of this question they assume I am as well.  I truly am not.  I don't need you, the man across the street, or even my priest to tell me what is right or wrong.

Still wondering if you are going to address the "fairness" issue I brought up.  You think it is fair that someone might lose their kids because they have an interest in this lifestyle?  Or you probably believe that being submissive is a choice, and that you should choose not to be while married?  Take care, I hope you don't take offense, but am very curious as to your opinion about this.

I think the Mods moved it to this section, because it is essentially a question, not just a general topic (and also becase it is a topic that's been posted on Genral Discusssion many, many times before). I am not sure, but I think that's the reason.

lapresence, your manner of relating is truly a breath of fresh air on these boards, in response to debating in this general topic area, IMO.

cheating is the act (not what you stated) of lying, deception, trickery, fraud, etc. allowing a third or more in the sancity of union of two is still by all intents and purpose whether it's open, poly etc. etc. cheating - my firm belief and stance whether anyone agrees with me or not. then why get married in the first place if your vows allow for a poly, open relationship? that isn't a marriage more like a commune.

Because marriage bestows legal rights.  It also can make things possible, such as health insurance for spouses.

SirDiscipliner69: You appear to want to pick so many arguments with other people. I mean, surely being an intelligent man, you realized ahead of time, just what kind of response you were likely to get to this thread. And yet, when you get it, you act angry, as if you are surprised anyone disagrees with you. Why bother with all of that?

I am not saying I don't consider it a legitimate topic, but most people's position at CM on it is already pretty clear, IMO (and anyone who has read similar threads already knows this, IMO).

Is intense arguing (or provoking others into it)  a part-time hobby of yours? You do this on many threads, it seems. It seems pointless, to me, in some ways. I mean, it is a free country, but I can't believe it makes you happy (but maybe it does). So why are you doing it?

- Susan

Pretty colors added by me, there isn't anything I can say that Susan didn't cover. I've asked you as well, why do you instigate what you know darn well is going to cause dissent? They are not deep thought provoking subjects that you ask, but things like weight..hair color and other nonsensical yet inflammatory things. Like Susan, I am curious as to your motives?

Well, sparky, welcome to collarme.  You just resurrected a thread that was dead almost two years...  It's a bit better to simply start a new one.
