catize -> RE: Test to see if people can read..... (4/13/2007 10:30:51 PM)

If I go on a date with a man who wines and dines me,  but his conversational skills are lacking and he has the table manners of a pig, should I have sex with him, despite the fact he disgusts and bores me, just because he shelled out a large amount of money for the evening?
If a man takes me to a movie that does not hold my  interest and he falls asleep during the movie, am I obligated to stay?  (true story, this happened to me on a first date;;;;;;;;;I left him snoring in the theater and took a cab home).
Agreement to meet for a date has only one obligation; show up.  If the chemistry and connection are not present, there is no reason to feel that it should go beyond more than what it is.  I’ve had some pretty awful dates; I’ve also had some very nice dates that never were repeated.
I regard a first meeting as a chance to see if there is real mutual interest or possibilities.  I’ve even (gasp) [image]http://www.collarchat.com/micons/m25.gif[/image]fucked on a first meet when it felt right and seldom regretted it.
It’s all about expectations; if they are unrealistic one is bound to be disappointed.

I agree, catize. If the shoe was on the other foot, my guess is that many men would say the same thing. I mean, if it is a really "traditional" relationship set-up, they are the ones who "make the first move" and decide who to ask out in the first place, aren't they? If they think the odds are super-low they are going to get sex at the end of the evening, and that is the only goal, then maybe they just need to ask someone else out, instead.

BTW do you remember my sig line on Wulfchyld?

Loki, forum god of Mischief

Submission is not a gift... it is plunder!
Where there is a whip, there is a way!
Dom/mes of a feather, beat the f*ck out of slaves together

Loki, Lord of every guile
Leave us here in peace a while;
here's a drink, great Cosmic jester;
find some other folks to pester!

Loki, master of all guile
Handsome son of Leafy Isle
And Farbauti's bairn forbodin'
You blood-brother of great Odin!
Here's a toast to your word-might;
Now go torment some other wight!

SusanofO -> RE: Test to see if people can read..... (4/14/2007 4:31:04 AM)

Twicehappy2x is a poetess, so, to the OP, I say: Obviously she can read (and also write. Nice poem, too, IMO, Twicehappy2x).

Well, I read it all. All 4 pages. So yes, I can read. Am I now supposed to be enlightened?

Good morning beautiful....We know you are smart as well as sexy.

To SusanO, that first is Troll's sig line as Wulfchyld, the other is a poem i sent him awhile ago that he liked so well he posted it on his journal.

SusanofO -> RE: Test to see if people can read..... (4/14/2007 6:01:15 AM)

Well it was interesting to read, Twicehappy2x, IMO. Also, I like your new avatar pic (I am thinking that's you in the pic, but maybe not).

Define "necessary".  Called for?  I think so. It's a bit of a chip on the shoulder, admittedly.  The implication is that people here do not actually read. That isn't my message. Rather, it is a CHALLENGE---- show me that you took more than 30 seconds to consider the issue before posting a flame in response.

I have a sign on my refrigerator that states "I have not had my coffee yet, dont make me kill you."

Not really in the mood to be challenged this morning, so have a lovely day.

Doesnt it suck when people who are not submissive to you dont do exactly what you demand that they do?

sambamanslilgirl -> RE: Test to see if people can read..... (4/14/2007 8:47:50 AM)

i read and as you see i really don't follow orders too well - it's not the way of a twue submissive i know. i don't care if you were someone else in another collarme life or that you don't any responses ...well you're going to get one whether you want it or not.

if i say "no sex until i really know and trust you" i really mean it. there won't be any sex until i feel comfortable with any man and his company. yet, if he wants sex before getting to know me, we would immediately part company right then and there. i'm not interested in play partners and/or one-night stands that lead to nowhere.

LaMistressa -> RE: Test to see if people can read..... (4/14/2007 8:55:19 AM)

I can read, but I don't know if I want to read all this.

But I cooked some rice pudding this morning, and followed the directions and everything. Oh, I can read, dammit!
(Okay, there were some pictures with the directions, and they helped.)

amuzingtoyou -> RE: Test to see if people can read..... (4/14/2007 9:38:21 AM)

I am curious why someone would post in forum and ask for no feedback. So basically you wanted us to read your words, and not comment? Scratches my head at that one.
Actually the questions you asked were good quesions and not rhetorical. They could actually be a good debate about peoples perceptions. However since you choose to not want any responses, this thread should probably just be closed. yes?

Slavetrainer2007 -> RE: Test to see if people can read..... (4/14/2007 11:26:40 AM)

The Ops reflection spawned a reflection of my own.

Two bulls are standing on a hill, one young and one old. Below them is a pasture full of cows. The young bull says, " Im going to run down there and fuck me one of those cows." The old bull looks at the young bull and says" im going to walk down their and fuck everyone of those cows."

Is it unreasonable for the young bull to waste his energy  running for just one cow?

Is it reasonable  for the older bull to assume that every cow he walks up to is going to let him fuck them?

Is there a limit to time, space, dimensions or realities here?  If so, you should at least consider adding Viagra to this quandry so that it is, at least, possible.....[:D]

To a certain extent, BDSM realtionships begin as vanilla relationships.

You have to have that initial meeting, and it usually isn't a kinky one. So.
Considering the dynamics of that first step.

This is posed rhetorically. No response is called for.

A woman says to a man, "I'd like to get to know you first, have a few dates before
we have sex".

Is she being reasonable? Why or why not?

A man says to a woman, "I'd like to get to know you first, have sex a few times before we date".

Is he being reasonable? Why or why not?

Should her physical investment in sex be valued more than his investment of time, energy and money in dating?

If he has sex, and never sees her again, is he a bad person?

If she has a date (lets him invest his time, money and energy) and never sees him again, is she a bad person?

Again: no response is called for.  These are questions intended to provoke reflection, not a morass of public masturbation.  I'm not posting this to gain attention, just offering it for what it may be worth to you as a tool for self-examination. Please don't fu*k it up by posting your predictable rants in response.
It isn't important that others see what you think about this.  What's important is that you take a fresh look in the mirror. Thank you.

Yawwwwwwnnnnnnn.

Devilslilsister -> RE: Test to see if people can read..... (4/14/2007 3:52:17 PM)

i can read and did read - but since i dont know you - and no one wants to uncover the myth of who you are..... i'm not putting forth the effort.

If a woman meets a guy she likes and they arrange to go out on a date and she says "if sex is a means to your end, then your shit out of luck here"

If a guy says "if you're looking for a free lunch, your shit out of luck here"

If two people mutually decide to hang out and have a good time together with no means to an end.......

TigressFL -> RE: Test to see if people can read..... (4/14/2007 3:52:58 PM)

To the Op...I think it is safe to say that people can read they just are not good at following your demands lolol
