I like to read general characteristics and try to see if people fit; I realize that day/time/year are all factors in addition to the mix of nature/nurture influences of every human being.
I began trying to read a little about it for fun, and because I like to understand different facets/reasons for behavior, and sometimes it fits.

abandoned? hmm, noo. i am serious person and really not interested in any point of view but my own. also, i work about 12 hours a day, give or take an hour each day. so, there will always be a span of time inwhich i go "ghost".

I remember an episode of the Simpsons where Homer became in charge of making the messages for Fortune Cookies. Mr Burns read his cookie saying that he would find true love tonight. So he went out of his way to every club to make passes on every women he came accross untill he meet someone who decided to go out with him.

Now let's say you get a tarot reading or you read your horscope that says you'll be meeting that special someone next week. So let me guess you're probably going to dress a little different, apply more to you appearance with shaving, makeup, fagarance and such, and try being more sociable or talkitave and flirty. Before you no it BAM! you met someone who took an insterest in you that you like as well. So is the prediction right or was it really just you who made the prediction come true?

FnF,
That's a very good point. If you believe something is going to happen chances are you will make it happen. There have been some studies done on this and it was supported. If anyone is interested I can try to find them.

maybe the orginial post should have beeen ruder. i asked for an opinion on my chart, not everyone's philosophy of what is and what isn't. i didn't say " hey, y'all beilve in astrology?", because most, if not all, would go on a rant about " how it's not true" and other bullshit i could really careless about. and personallly, i don't beilve in science or pyshics or mathetics. all are just philosphies, just like any study. but do i feel like attaking anyoe who consumes their life with them? no.knowing the future is indeed bullshit, but when a medium can pull out your past and tell you every minor detail, then it's for real.

It didn't have to be ruder, just more specific. You said "any thoughts" that implies that anyone can reply and say what they think, not just the ones that agree with you or have comments on your 'chart'.
Remember that not everyone reads things the way you intended to have them read.

You asked for people thoughts glassdoll... you never asked specifically for yourself.

If you had made that clearer, I would not have given my view. And someone knowledgable in what it is that you believe could have answered.

No one attacked you in the first place. Everyone smiles and has fun on these boards. Nothing was directed at you until you attacked others, and this left you 'open'... not that I support the way the thread moved, because your belief is as valid as anyone elses.

Lets all 'group hug' and could we carry on with the thread the way it was intended? I may not believe in astrology, but I am certainly open to hear more about it.

You are allowed to talk about whatever it is that you want in this section as long as it meets the requirements of the TOS.

My comment was not to discourage you from posing here. My comment was simply to indicate that if you wanted a serious discussion about astrology, then you might have wanted to have this discussion in a place where people actually have an acute interest in astrology. By extension, I would probably not go on a gardening message board to find advice on weight training. See what I mean?

As for calling a thread over, once you plant the seed, it's really out of your control. It will end when it ends.
