greetings iwannapullurhair, i prefer tall guys. in all three serious relationships i've had, including two d/s, all of my dominants have been taller than me. then again, two of them weren't that much taller and i do walk on my toes, so occasionally it seems like i'm taller than Him when in reality there's a few inches' difference. overall, i find tall to be sexy (i like to be dwarfed), but that doesn't mean i only date or only seek tall partners. annabelle.

My default is to prefer taller men, though I've played with one who wasn't so much compensating for his height as just sure enough of his own power and self-control to not be a jerk.

The most sadistic Domme I ever had was probably shorter than 4' 10". Height doesn't really matter to me, although I think it does for most people.

I'm 4'8.5", and yes, I do prefer my Master be taller than I am. The taller the better, for me. I've dated men 6'8". Its kind of a reverse power trip to have someone tower over you physically. But that doesn't mean that I have a height requirement, because you just never know what the rest of the package will hold. I know that height has nothing to do with dominance or submission, sadism or masochism, but it can still trigger base emotions either way.

Im 5'3.75. Ive dated guys from 5'5" up. My Daddy is just tall enough that my face is against his chest when he hugs me tight. To me, that feels just right. As open-minded as I like to believe I am, I think it would be close to impossible if not impossible for me to submit to someone who is shorter than I am. Then again, if my Daddy were to (God forbid) suffer some sort of accident that left him in a wheelchair (and therefore for all intents and purposes, "shorter" than I am) it wouldnt change my submission to him because it's already been established and is not based on physical attributes. Just like in love, it isnt the physical that ends up being the most important thing, but the physical sometimes acts as a catalyst that either helps to establish the dynamic or makes it evident that there isnt going to be a dynamic established. As a tall dominant woman, people have remarked that my height enhances their perception of me as a powerful person. I'd guess that height does influence people's impressions--especially first impressions. Monica

I've always liked someone to be close to my height. I like being able to look into their eyes when we face each other, at times. I have no idea why, either. I am almost exactly the same height as my Daddy... I can nuzzle into his neck when he holds me.

As a 6ft4'er I think height definitely contributes to a first impression. It’s a genetic thing that has nothing to do with conscious thought. The subconscious survival mechanisms are always going to be paying the most attention to the biggest bodies in the room, as they have always had the fewest restrictions on un-consensually imposing their will, whether for good or for bad.. [sm=crop.gif] It’s also one of the reasons I don’t underestimate the short D’s as they throw more energy into “playing smarter” to balance out the ability to literally pick someone up [by your choice of which of their body parts and what position] [:D]

[:D] Judging from my admittedly limited sample size (vanilla men I've talked about this with), it seems men are instinctually intimidated by a tall woman, but refuse to acknowledge this on a conscious level. Height is actually a sign of good nutrition during the time up to adulthood, so it doesn't make any other biological sense than a threat/dominance bit. Personally, I prefer to bite off as much as I can chew, which is to say that tall, strong, confident, etc. are all attractive qualities in my book, and I don't feel intimidated, for some reason. I am about 6' (184cm) tall, but I know a few girls who are about 6'4" (~195cm), and one of them has this habit of maintaining eye contact indefinitely, which makes me feel, oddly enough, more comfortable talking to her than most other people of either gender.

I'm 5'11, for a girl that's tall, I think. With shoes I'm about 6 foot. I think I've always carried my height well though. I'm busty enough to pull off the height. My Master is a tiny bit shorter then me, by maybe an inch or two. It doesn't matter to me at all. I have no problem submitting to him. I don't think "oh no, I can't be spanked by him, he's not tall enough !!" * giggles* He could be 4'5 inches tall and he'd still be Masterly enough to get me on my knees. being barely 5'5", most men are taller than me. it's difficult for me to be attracted to someone that is my height or shorter. men who lie about their height are the worst...if they say they are 5'5" and they are barely looking me in the eye, fuggedaboudit... I have a thing for tall, dark and dorky...or just tall and dorky...there's something about looking up, into his eyes, that just makes me a great big ole puddle o' mush...

when i was looking height was not an issue. i am 5'5" tall and most men are at least a little taller than me. C is 6'4" and i must admit the first time He held me in His arms i was His forever! i just felt so safe and secure. Without His height, however, i would still feel loved and protected.
